- Najib is appointing Khairy as the Chairman of PUNB. It must have been a difficult decision for Najib. It appears that he has to find a balance between keeping Tun M happy and the failure to reward UMNO youth chief with a Minister post. KJ is probably the only UMNO Youth Chief without any ministerial portfolio in the history of UMNO. It is a well-known public knowledge that Tun M has severe itch every time he meets KJ. I guess caught in between a hard place and a rock, he had no choice but to reward KJ. After all, KJ has been hardworking and actively supporting Najib in the last few years. Today the government announced that he would be made PUNB chairman. The offer also means the end of political career for KJ. He is unlikely to be fielded in the GE13 in any seats.
- I don’t know KJ personally but I suppose he must be brainy. How else then a kampong boy from Rembau with an Oxford degree can be someone in the BN inner circle at such a tender age. The marriage to Pak Lah’s daughter cannot be by chance but must be due to some brilliant strategic move. To be able to grow into such a strong position in such a short time must be recognized as a sign of strength.
- However to give the position of chairman of PUNB on silver platter to KJ is not right. The man could be brilliant in some ways but that does not mean he is so smart that he knows everything. Every senior position comes with a learning curve. Certainly he has not been exposed in the business world. However we all know that in Malaysia doing business sometimes is about “who you know” and in that aspect I would say everyone knows KJ and he certainly knows all the right people. In that aspect KJ has one point but that alone does not justify him to get the position on a silver platter. We need to find the best person to fit the position and not just find any person with some brains to fit this key position. No wonder the country is in a big mess! Sometimes I wonder whether they will ever learn!
PM NAJIB HAS DONE ANOTHER GRAVE MISTAKE. He has added another problem to his existing headache. Instead of solving problems that he inherited he has been indulging into more self made problems. Tajuddin Ramli was an imported one and so was many other problems that were created long before his tenure as a PM but by allowing the x prime minsters such as Mahadey screwing into his territory and forcing certain bad decisions on him has created more problems for him. He has not solved the MAS woos and now creates another front in the PUNB move. How many fronts is he fighting. Does he realize that ?? I just don’t know why he so scared of an old man Mahadey. With all his media giants behind him, he could have easily put Mahadey in the right prospective and made him a dumbo who shouldn’t be allowed to come a foot near him but alas he chose the soft way of trying to be a nice soft spoken guy pleasing all the xPM’s. Luckily only 2 are surviving otherwise the rakyat would have to carry extra burden.Allow me to give some suggestions to PM. First he should have removed M from all posts and send him off to a full retirement. You know by sitting at the Petronas tower and holding a position as a leader in the ‘whatever foundation’ that serves no purpose to anyone except him thus Najib has created a creature that he can’t control.Who created Perkasa. Does Perkasa helps Najib. NO. Who created hundreds of NGO’s that are giving a bad name to Najib. Who said, ‘I am Malay first and only then 1Malaysia’, immidiately after Najib announced his 1 Malaysia vision. He should have immidiately sacked that guy and looked for a new deputy who approves 1Malaysia.
May we the rakyat wish to remind this running PM and the 2 retired PM’s who are sitting on the wealth of the nation at our expense to take note that we do not approve to what’s happening. Najib is doing so much to keep his party and it’s warlords at bay for his clear passage to run the governement but FORGETTING that at this point of time the RAKYAT is MORE POWERFUL. So, I would advise him to kick out all these assholes and that includes the newly minted PUNB chief. What does Khairy know about economics. PUNB is entrusted to fullfill the bumi agenda but now it looks like just as the missing wealth of RM51 billion ‘supposedly’ belonging to the Bumiputra community even more damage would be done. Maybe the downfall of BN is on course. Good luck pakatan and please make a difference or else face the wreath of the nation in the next, next polls.

This is of course speculation. Perhaps KJ is not that brilliant after all by looking at where he is today, his strategy need refine, he shouldn’t get marry so earlier and wait until hmmm do our current PM and DPM have any daughter?

While I am optimistic of KJ’s capability to manage PUNB, i doubt that he can gain some traction among the very important youth votes
For all we know, PUNB will be the new cash cow to fund BN’s already loaded election machinery
This may be the silver lining for PR Youth leaders.With Khairy confined to chairman desk,PR Youth have a better chance in gaining lost grounds and rally the youth votes to the PR fold

Your assumption would be too critical at this point.
KJ is a very few towering Malay in politics whom has some good brain power.
He is not as brainless as our Home Minister, perhaps not as brainy as our ex-dictator whom manage to create a regime in Malaysia.
Even Khalid Ibrahim who runs Guthrie previously, did not get approval from you on how he administer SSG, if experience is what you are looking for.

Many occasions KJ came out to defend UMNO, from the way he spoke, you can feel and see the guilt that he is trying his level best to cover for his party. I do not feel Shahrizat Abdul Jalil show any remorse or guilt. Added salt to it by saying “I work hard for it.” What the… &^%$#@!!
This is what I believe on KJ, I still could be proven wrong.

I used to believe KJ can make a difference but after his repetitious overzealous defense of Shahrizat and the NFC debacle, my respect to him went down drain
I expect that being the fresh blood and the more moderate minded party figure, he should be the first to call for Shahrizat’s resignation
