- The media reported that Haji Hoslan Haji Hussin, threw his shoes at a panel of judges comprises of Chief Judge of Malaya, Justice Zulkefli Ahmad Makinuddin, Justice Suriyadi Halim Omar and Justice Zaleha Zahari as he was frustrated as the court refuses his appeals. The core issue here is that he has been asked to vacate his quarters by MAIWP and he had challenged it at the lower courts. He had lost all his case before the matter reaches the appeals court. Sadly the alternative media is portraying that his action is acceptable and he is being made a martyr.
- I am appalled at the way the media is playing this story. This is definitely not a Malay culture and what more for an Imam to do this is unacceptable. What is also unacceptable is that the court lack of action on that day. Just because he is a man of cloth, he can do anything he likes. If it were anyone else, the court would have charge him for contempt. The hesitancy on the part of the court is unacceptable. Too much undue leeway has been given to this man.
- The imam is now making an allegation that he is being asked to move out because he leaked the story of about the land belongs to the mosque being rented out to one famous “Kari kepala ikan” restaurant in Pandan area and the rental goes to one individual instead to the mosque. Indeed if that is true then he should make a police report or report it to MACC. It has nothing to do with the eviction notice issued by MAIWP. Sad as it is, the imam has shown the bad side of him. I don’t how he would feel, if someone threw a shoe to him? May be he should experience it.

If I am not mistaken, this Imam made allegations in the media that he reported the scandals to the authorities but nothing was done but instead he got into trouble with MAIWP. I am not supportive of him throwing a shoe at the judiciary but I guess that’s a sign of how commoners and opposition politicians and their supporters are fed up of the system. The judiciary MUST be revamped and made independent before the people lose confidence int the government and the Judiciary and take the law into their own hands.
Remain focussed, friend. The imam was ordered to vacate the Quarters because his services were terminated. He refused. That was the issue IN the court hearing. No more, NO less..
If he has any OTHER issue to bring it up, NOT related to the matter above, he should bring it up in another police report/ hearing/ court. Even then, to date, he could show no proof of what he said.
This man did not deserve to be called “Imam” in the first place; read the official website and other blogs; he cannot even utter the Quranic verses corractly;
His vile characteristica and hideous behaviour puts all respectable Imams and leaders of Islam, to shame.
Read the details about this “imam” in the official Kg. Pandan mosque website, thus clearing their name once and for all.
DRNKBANGI
Doc,
This is not new…, many saudara baru’s have used this to abuse their new profound privilege , thanks to some smart guys…all out for short term gains.
End day…Tanah Wakaf pun kena gadai…!
Why can’t he judges let him have his say? Instead they didn’t even want to hear him out. The man was unrepresented by legal counsel. i am sure the judges would have heard out his legal counsel, if one was available. The religious authorities are able to pay fat legal fees to their counsel (wonder if he has been paid from Zakat funds). On humanitarian grounds, allow the man to have his say. The imam was rude…but the judges were asking for it.
In the past many reports lodged with police and MACC against leaders with powerful connection includes politicians and businessmen and ex IGP etc end up no actions taken. Police and MACC simply will not dare to touch those powerful corrupt leaders!
MACC is just useless and hopeless!!!
I think RM3000 per month is something that MACC can handle. They have handle a case of about RM2500
So what is the limit on cases that MACC can handle. I know for sure anything above RM 1 billion is OB.
Golfers would know thats Out of Bounds.
Maybe a lot less than 1bill
