- I am sad about the whole NFC fiasco. I sympathized Shahrizat but then I cry for the country. The government has not been very careful with the nations money. One failure after another and it all seems to link to certain political personalities. Shahrizat political future looks bleak. To win she needs to contest in a very safe area. Such an area would be Setiawangsa where Mindef is located within the parliamentary area. Meantime she needs to lay low and the hope that NFC issue will fade away. I suspect that would not happen as PR is releasing one bullet per week that is aimed at UMNO/BN at large. What ever it is, the damage can be seen. From where I am standing, it might be game over for SJ. She may no longer fall into the category of “winnable candidate”
- To control the damages, the government must move on in two fronts. Using their golden share in NFC they must take over the company and operations. I believe the shareholders would welcome this as they can walk away clean. Being a limited liability company unless otherwise guaranteed by the shareholders, they may not be required to pay back the RM250 mill. The government must manage the loan recovery process. By hook or by crook the government must show that it is sparing no effort in recovering every single dime with interest.
- On the second front, NFC primary objectives must be revived. The methodology must change. To revive it means that the government must spend more money. To spend more money they must ensure that this time it is done right. Otherwise, it would be hara-kiri for BN. The focus must be on increasing local meat production. The key approach is to work with existing local successful breeders. At the same time they need to develop new generations of farmers to replace the current last generation of farmers. I believe in the next 15 years, there will be no more dairy farmers left in this country. Most of the children will not want to continue this family business. Feedlotting is the easiest part of the whole process. It requires no rocket science. The focus should be on genetics and animal breeding. Whoever takes over NFC would need to develop a massive breeding plan involving these farmers and have a sustainable cash flow plan to support the operations. Clearly they have to move out from Gemas as there is no gold there!

I’m very, very angry at the government for creating this “scam” and as for your remark about the government not being very careful with the nation money, I have only this to say – “for the past 3 decades there have been no instance whatsoever, and I literally meant not once, has the government been prudent in it’s management of the nation coffers!” We’ve had fiasco after fiasco that listing them would take volume of books. Scandal such as Bakun, Perwaja, PKFZ and numerous other are draining the nation’s strength and NFC is just another one scam in the long line of UMNO created scam disguised as “national project and businesses”. Sharizat jalil doesn’t deserve any pity and so does NFC and especially UMNO run government. All of them deserve to be label as criminal and traitor for stealing billions of the nation coffers. Rakyat are suffering and these corrupt people are getting rich and fat from stolen money!

I read the latest news about Friday sermon, Jakim from MI.
It described those Muslims as “deviating from the teachings” of Prophet Muhammad, as well as “committing a big sin, oppressing Muslims and threatening national harmony” in the sermon that was to mark the end of Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin’s five year reign as Yang Di-Pertuan Agong.
“Remember, if Muslims lose their integrity, their pride and are manipulated by others, in the end, Islam in this country will suffer the same fate that has befallen other nations where their people were insulted and driven from the country of their birth,” it said.
The above statements talking about deviating teaching and integrity.
