“All that is needed for the forces of evil to triumph is for few good men to do nothing”
- It must be tough week for the Salleh’s Family & Co. The bait laid by RR has been bitten. The revelation made by Salleh further throws more light into the allegation on the misuse of RM181mill that seems to have brought them down deep into the gutter. By his own admission Salleh has indicated that the RM250 mill loan doesn’t seem like a loan and the funds has been used for other purpose other than cattle business.
- The declaration on the purchase and ridiculous rental return of RM70K has made him a laughing stock. Then came another ridiculous explanation on how the RM70K rental comes about. It seems BDRB; the developer of 1-Menerung gave them a rebate of RM49K per month. This is the most atrocious explanation I have heard so far.
- Why would BDRB give a rebate? If it is true, I believe he has opened another Pandora box? How long is this rebate for? Is he suggesting that the developer is documenting on paper that they are selling the property at market value to NFC and in actual fact refunding the money back slowly? Why would any developer do such a thing? I think there are enough grounds for MACC to initiate investigation into the matter.
- RR has challenged the cabinet to release the minutes of the cabinet meeting that is related to the approval of the loan. Is it safe to assume that he has already got the papers but unable to release it due to OSA and challenged the government to do so?
- I think it is time the KSN, Tan Sri Sidik Hassan to call for an internal inquiry to determine who are the officers involved in this loan scam and why the loans was not repaid after being disbursed. It is also important to know whether the agreement was done in a fair manner that reflects the true intent of the project. If there are shortcomings than it is imperative the responsible officers be brought to books.
- As time goes by and after several more PC by Salleh, I believe my suspicion to that I had in Dec 2009 that NFC is just a front may just be true. I asked YB KJ on twitter whether the money is for Feedlot or Feedlot was a front? I have asked both KJ and RR to investigate and confirm whether “RM181 mill are buried somewhere on the farm”.

Mother of all scandals was CASED closed
What is this..nothing
Just another “black sheep” ready to be thrown to the DOGs
Another diversion from bigger troubles…
Thats all…..hiyah
MALAYA boleh
Doc Rafick, with all these scandals can you still find it in your conscience to vote for such a despicable party/coalition? The scandals are all coming into open one by one and it looks like this is just the top of the iceberg. What other scandals will be unearthed in the foreseeable future? What other scandals, abuses of power, corruptions can you tolerate?
Clearly UMNO/BN has not and will not learn its lessons. This scandal happened after the bashing UMNO/BN took and after the mother of all scandal-, PKFZ was exposed. Tell me, what have they learn? They have learned more ways of pulling wool (attempted) over the public’s eyes. See the so called reform they are doing to public protest and assembly. I have to appeal to all Malaysians if they hope to see any improvements in Malaysia to kick UMNO/BN out from Putridjaya in the coming 13th General Election
What is the tipping point for you Dr Rafick? At what point will you say Enough is Enough. We want real changes, not more cosmetics to cover the huge pile of dirt and oppressions
ablogsmith,
Doc,….will just say ” NAH “, …….give me time to meditate…, and will see you next spring..( lebih kurang Mac 2012 )
Dr.,
Can it be verified if this ” loan ” is guaranteed by any individual(s) otherwise
it is quite obvious that this is the ” escape clause ” for writing off the amount
at a later stage ?
Anyone even borrowing to buy a national car would need to provide
guarantor(s) , so I wonder if RM250 million is an exception to the rule ?
It’s not….., these guy’s forget they ever owe anyone any money..? In actual fact….., they will be telling that the Government owes them much more.
Theory Mamak.
Doc,
Just after watching Malaysia beating Indon…, Felt like I’m floating…, but scared that half the workers might not turn up for work..!
Doc,…., just also came to know that SN…as accused Salleh for using NFC money for himself and his son for UMRAH…? He also accuses the Shahrizat
using NFC money for a free ride.
I don’t know…., if it’s true…., but then….there is no smoke with out fire..!
Will just follow the comments of others.
Anyway is Col Mohd…..a ex servicemen..? Just feel like clearing my thoughts…, he writes like Pelangisenja..?
it was one of those unusual mornings that I decided to have a healthier breakfast with no grease and huge carbohydrates. Ended up in Black Canyon. Great coffee and had a grilled chicken salad. So happened there was free Star paper which I stop subscribing or buying for the last 3 years. Turn to the middle pages and much to my surprise 2 full pages on Cow Lot. It was real holy cow as
the cow lot sponsors surely were well defended by the Star paper. Never mind, this is to be expected as the paper surely live up to its image as nothing but a national propaganda sheet these days.
As I was reading, there was this man, i think in his sixties. He called out “hey young man” and asked whats so interesting about today’s news. Before I could say morning to him as a matter of courtesy, he uttered rather loudly about this govt is no longer ashame to steal with impunity. “whats cow gotta do with condos”, was his question. To which, I reply both starts with a “C” and may be there found a new way to rear cows. “What is a scientist doing rearing cows but cant differentiate between rebates and revenue”. to that, I told him may be for a Minister family, they are smarter than us in finance. He smiled and just walk away nonchalantly.
What a Sunday morning, doc!
Dear members, please do something to counter this article and sarcastic remarks, here is the blog site: http://studygrowknowblog.com/2011/11/17/muslims-demand-people-stop-saying-merry-christmas-or-else/
As I’m not a religious scholar I feel ashamed to write more about it. So please help me to continue with it. Now there are lots of comments from the Christians attacking me in support the blogger. See some of you in the blog. Regards and wassalam.
Col Mohd,
I read the blog and find the article repugnant- a lot of misconception on the understanding of Islam and full of sarcasm and venom for hate. Let it be as no amount of rebuttal will change these people hatred towards Islam.
The way to counter is by example and best by practising the true Islamic way of life as taught by Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).Let Allah be the witness.
It’s a no brainer Col Mohd.
Maybe our dumbo soldier minister our Shahrom might like to do it. In any case he should go home and tanam kacang.
Why do we need a minister of religion anyway?
One good, not the only, way to understand Islam is to try read Tahafult Al Falasilah. You can find English versions of it. Then you’ll be led to Tahafut at Tahafut. Then you’ll have to read up on Al Ghazali and Ibni Rushdi. Then you’ll have to follow up on Plato and the Neoplatonists and all those guys and by the time you’re through you’ll want to scrap through logic and mathematics and etc.
You could read up Al Ghazali though. He’s a Sunni. But Malaysian Sunnis think Shias are kafirs. Many think Sunnis are conservative Muslims and the Saudi Royal House is a perplexing example of anything but Islam. And their fundamental thinking is no different than the NeoCons in US. You’ll have to further dabble into capitalism and socialism and la di da. And finally you’ll be back into what’s happening in the Asia Pacific Trade rows now being played out.
You don’t have to know anything about religion to counter those guys …if you really want to. But then it would be your own funeral !
Thanks members who have had read the blog. Agreed with your suggestion, AK, rebuttal will not change them but at least we gave them some info. And Cowculator, agreed May be Baharom and Jakim might be interested. Let them do their job, or I may contact UIAM. I’m still sick as it hasn’t been rebutted by Islamic scholars. Any more suggestions are welcomed. I’ve told them that if it’s in Malaysia they might have been brought to court for inciting and insulting other religion.
I think the article was contributed by Dr Fred De Ruvo’s blog who received his degree from Philadelphia Biblical University. He lives in Northern California and rides a 1600cc Suzuki bike. I would take it as just another fear factor or urban legend created against Muslims. We should just ignore it.
Zul
I think we can’t blame others much when people look at us Muslims negatively. We have to start with blaming ourself to a certain extent.
In the last few months, several banners has came up around the Petronas station at Nanding Hulu Langat. It was addressed to MB where they literally state their objection with a threat that they don’t want a Hindu temple behind the station. For years the piece of land belongs to MARDEC where they had a small hindu temple in it. Mardec sold the land to third party which in turn develop the land into Petronas station as well as shops and houses. I don’t understand why Malays are upset over rebuilding of a temple there. Would they become Hindu’s if the temple come there? I met a few Indians who lived around the area when I can say that they live in fear.
What is happening to our society?
I would probably gets lots of bashing if I say Islam is connected to violence. While admitting that there are lots of God fearing and peace loving Muslims, look at what has been happening to the extend that there are even Muslims killing Muslims while chanting God is great
At the slightest excuse, there are flag burnings, threat of violence and demonstrations. It just makes me wonder what makes the pilots of the planes that crashed into the NY twin towers? And that that carry explosives blow themselves up even in mosques. Just what are the motivations? Is it the promise of heaven?
But as I said earlier, there are lots of Muslims that don’t fall into those categories.
Doc…
As ablogsmith put it “there are lots of Muslims that don’t fall into those categories”.
Sometimes the negative actions of some Muslims in this world are being INDUCED by certain group of people for reason(s) best known to them.
Agree. I wonder what is the good Muslim in Nanding doing? They chose to not to be involved. And that is wrong
Yes. I agree with you. They should be Muslim. Not moderate Muslim nor radical or extreme Muslim.
Why have media associated with violence to Muslims and when the US/ British/allied forces / Nato attacked another sovereign country and bring with it untold destruction and killings are not associated with Christians or Jews ?
They do not want US/UK/Europe to become Muslim countries… I guess.
Or rather Europe to become Eurabia.
TQ Zul, no wonder he has quoted some verses from the Qur’an which translation is questionable but it really hits the faith of all Muslim members
Col Mohd,
Are you really a Col….? You write like a girl…., or worst still …you are hanging somewhere…, Soldiers are made of stern stuff..? Just wondering if you are under any medication..?
Sorry if I prick you…., never intended to comment…, but feel I need to set the records straight.
Expect this issue to drag till election… shahrizat, KJ, najib gonna find it hard to avoid this. It is not a fringe issue where only urban ppl can appreciate. But entire malaysiam society can relate to the ridiculous situation
N to think it would be easier if BN force saleh to step down.
rafizis prolly has a disgruntled nfc ex employee in his ranks.
Cannot ask Salleh to step down or someone bigger than wifey fall with bigger crash!
If things had been done by the rules, you shoot any sick cows before the mad cow disease spread.
In this case everyone in UMNO carry the bovine virus. How else to explain?
mr rocko,
Nothing to do with Rafizi and ….whoever the disgruntle ex employ is..?
It’s more to do with esteem…, truthfulness, coming up with a proposal to built on something using Public money…., end of the day the rakyaat feel conned.
Asking Salleh to resign…, will put NFC like any other White Elephant PROJECT the MAMAK carried out.
We cannot do that….we need to bring these guys to book if they had strayed and led us a stray.
Mamak punya time semua bolih Kow Tim…., it lead to a thinking that the mamak fathers money was used for everything even till know. .. , sad ., we cannot go after mamaks time failure…., but we need to pursue this till the end and come back to mamaks story if PR forms the Government.
See whats happening in the distance…, very far yet near…, because of tech…., …..because GOD IS WATCHING…!
Cowculator…., It was known long before Mad Cow…., disease.., that UMNO carried the deadly bovine Virus via a MAMAK. Sad don’t feel bad…., itu kehendak tuhan…., we need to live with it.
Please don’t explain…., then the Malays, Chinese and Indians and the rest will look like……………..?
Meek, if you visit the blog Study – grow – know Ministries, it criticised Islam and said that there were Muslims trying to Stop the Christians Saying “Merry Christmas! and other bad things about Islam. I’ve made comments against the writer. I’m inviting our members here to read the blog and support me to make some more comments against the blogger’s sarcastic remarks as it really hurts all Muslims.
I believe the blogger is not from Malaysia.
Col,
Please provide the link lah…
I dunno where to look.
TQ.
In the early years, the Aussies built the beef and dairy industries on “Co-operatives” idea and set up suitable governance mechanisms to nurture it. The Kiwis did the same and now there are more animals than citizens.
Muhyiddin, we now know is a dummy leader whether he was in agriculture or education ministry. The “producer” as in FELDA spirit has to be learned over time, instilled and learned the hard way instead of a quick fix. There are elemental successes in FELDA which are important. The rest can only be generally complimented by general good values.
That FELDA people are resisting bad practices of UMNO is a sign of that the fundamental good things are in place. The rest reformasi has to eradicate in the overall work of sowing education of rights across all realms.
The Feedlot thingy must be a dumb post graduate paper done by people like Dr Mohammad Salleh who said rebates were incomes and revenues. Probably at the instigation of the honorable Agriculture Minister, Noh, who whilst in the Home Affairs Ministry made a Malay girl do the naked dumb squat and declaring her as “Chinese”. It’s verry telling, this mentality of UMNO and BN people – like a virus that kills. But of course they can blame the pigs.
Doc,
A government that does not want to learn from mistakes, prefers to deny and justify should be thrown out!
I would have thought that quietly they would have corrected the wrongs and move on to reform but as you see “hanya bertukar kulit” that is precisely what NTR transformation is !
AK
Just look at Auditor-General’s Report every year and various mega scandals.
Do you ever think BN government will reform??? To many, the worst is yet to come!!! When the Malaysia needs to seek bailouts, BN government will still be able to come out with flimcy excuses and some will continue to be graceful to BN.
i m surprise only RM181m is “burned”. take it on the bright side, there’s RM69m left untouched.
i was reading the malaysian insider and it came across that he argued NFC is a success as the company actually bought cows from down under and fed for a few months before being sent to the slaughter house. I just cant imagine if thats the blueprint for NFC. Thats not cattle breeding for sure to reduce dependency on imports for beef.
mmc,
This is one of the many brilliant scheme to milk the cash cow dry.
There is one other brilliant scheme which did not take off, like building a grand sports training centre in UK.
The best parts in all these scheme, are those from the military, weaponary. Ministry of Defence always has HUGE budget for it. We have been told, we need to Ganyang Indonesia, Siege Singapore, Infiltrate Thailand and Conquer Philippines islands.
We need military might for it, jet fighters from Arizona desert, unsinkable submarines and destroyers that always catches fire.
The man is Najib, ex-Minister of Defence.
MMC,
The more you read within the lines…, we will become cuckoo.., why..? Because we had idiot’s elected by the rakyaat who call themselves Cabinet ministers…., they should be Cabaret ministers.
Thank God…, I forgot how to use foul language nowadays.
RM181m go dowm the drain and claims he still has RM 69m…., and it can only be disburse with proper documentation…, so how was the rest disburse..?
Only a stupid Minister of Finance and the rest can answer all this,
They all think we the rakyaat are just KAYU…., they forgot we take them as
” BIAWAK HIDUP TAK SEDAR DIRI “!
They also thought that like other people our memory is short like it was taught by the mamak. ” Sorry Bro we store it like the revenge of a eleghant “!
And more over….we don’t believe in Projects more like ” HANGAT HANGAT TAHI AYAM “.
We need to tell them off.
Dr. Raffick, your favourite DPM, Muhiddin Yassin is all out trying to protect NFC. I just cannot believe my eyes when I read in Free Malaysia Today, him saying, “Let the people be the Judge”. Can you please tell your favourite minister that this is not a competition between UMNO/BN and PKR that needs people’s judgement. The people of this country are fed-up with the UMNO/BN’s way of running this country’s finances. They treat the money as if, it belongs to their father. Does Muhiddin understand the meaning of ‘responsibility’. Yes, the gormen is obliged to tell the truth, the whole truth nothing but the truth. So, to tell the truth, they got to be ‘open’ in their dealings. The question here, does the Sharizat’s family, origin from the families of cattle breeders. Do they know how to run cattle farming. So, on what basis was this company chosen to head the NFC. Is it not true that the minister who is the ketua wanita UM-NO played a role in making sure that her husband and the family got the loan for this cattle project. It’s easy for the zzzzzprime minster under whose nose the loan was given out and everyone knows he never makes decisions because most of the time he is zzzzzzz. So, this is where the 4th. floor boyz play their role. Thats why KJ is protecting NFC.
Common on rakyat Malaysia, wake up especially our malay cousins wherever they maybe, in towns, in kampungs, wherever please wake up, this country is being destroyed by UMNO. We got to chase out the irresponsible and give the job to the responsible party. Otherwise Malaysia would end up like Greece and many other countries facing economic turmoil. Today the country is rich in minerals etc are being raped. The amount of digging for iron ore going on in this country and the ore being exported out. What does the govt gain? How much is the revenue? The mines licensee’s are from the people who have political patronage and the rest from royal families. What does the ordinary rakyat gain. Can someone investigate how much does the govt gain from the digging of these ore.
I agree with DPM. Let people judge and right now the judgement is heavily AGAINST UMNO-BN. Let the lembu issue continue and you will see the intended target. As i say it before, shahrizat was not the real target,….
Abdullah,
When I first move in the place I staying right now after my father retired…, we were staying in a midst of about fifteen families all cowherds.
Now they have been relocated to Kundang and Bukit Tagar and E-Plak in Rawang. Their place is now occupied by three SRK/SMK.
These people are still rearing cows and on a bigger scale even without a drop of assistance from the government. Just imagine if they were given such a opportunity…. Salleh say new in the business…., more like a cock talking …., they just wanted to fleece the stupid rakyaat like what the other politicians did and got scot free.
Sad people are wiser because the mamak who created all this is still alive awaiting his day of judgement.
Dear doc,
I have no clue at all on this NFC and not making a stand yet. But like the way it’s going. You obviously have more knowledge and have put the government on defensive. KJ noh and the NFC had to reply this. You’ve remained focus telling people what’s the core issue and what’s not. And I am particularly encouraged by this exchange on accountability.
Read and you shall learn. Ask and you shall get an answer!
Not always. Often what you get is another lie.
Doc,
I did read your article on your visit to the farm…, i also did comment…, can you reproduce the article again for all to digest.!
Sorry……., it’s was suppose to be like this….
Why did you make a effort to visit the farm..?
What info and who gave you such impression..?
Or….., you knew all along that most common projects …., with rakyaats money will all turn white elephants..?
No body is accountable….and Malaysians forget easily…, like taking a wink.., just like most have forgotten the Monggolian Sweetie who was most likely pregnant.
kittykat46/wave33,
You guys just know how to make those implicated feel not sick…, but to send them six feet underneath…., keep up the good job. …, but please don’t put their children in distress.
Just a forgone request…, knowing that a whole can of worms of UMNO/BN’s Standard Operating Actions have become Public scrutiny…, yet we can try to engage mildly.
We know that…, this will drag a whole lot down…, just like a sinking ship…, but desperate men can do it differently.
Need to be wise and safe some of our bullets.
Doc and friends, please help, make comments on the blog from Study – grow – know Ministries entitled “Muslims Demand People Stop Saying “Merry Christmas!”…or Else!” This Mat Saleh is too much.Your support is appreciated, wassalam.
Col Mohd,
Cannot capture, what you are trying to convey..?
Can you be precise…! Thanks.
Everywhere I go for lunch – kopitiam, warung, roti canai stall, high-end restaurant, I hear people talking and…joking…about Projek Lembu.
When ordinary people, not political junkies, make fun of the government and the ruling party, you know they are in big trouble.
The sad thing is – nothing is going to change….nobody is going to jail, nobody gets sacked, nobody is going to resign, I doubt if any administrative disciplinary action will be carried out on anybody.
Semua OK….except Shahrizat maybe. I think she can still make it for GE13 if they put her up in one of those Ultra-safe seats in rural Johor or Pahang. Forget about WP or Selangor…she’s damaged goods…
Yes, Shahrizat is a winnable candidate in rural area only, not in a urban seat.
Because…
She does not talk cock like DPM.
She does not strip you naked like Rafidah Aziz, with tongue lashing.
She is not a racist like Ibrahim Ali.
She is not a fanatical religious like Hasan Ali or Zulkifli Noordin.
She is not an idiot like our Home Minister.
She does not make a clown of herself like Bung Mokthar Radin in Parliament.
When she talks, she is so caring and humble, and seldom indulge in politicking.
UNFORTUNATELY, she is on a wrong boat!
