I have been monitoring the quality of comments that is being posted in my blog. Off late I must say that the quality has gone down tremendously. I saw the worse ever comments when I wrote the two article under the heading “Malays, Islam and the bible”.

The comments came from regular commentators who use their regular name as well as new name. There are also new commentators. I could differentiate the identity of the commentators through a method which I cannot disclose here.

If I were to publish those comments, I suspect that there would be civil war in Malaysia which could lead to WW III. The comments came from both sides of the political and ethnic fence. Who knows 100 years from today, the future generations says WW III was not started by Hitler or Jews or USA but by R2W! I don’t want to be remembered in that manner.

These commentators continue to comment on the same post till today which does not allow me to uplift the moderation control and to allow freedom of comment as what I had practiced previously. I am really saddened by this fact as I would like to return to the previous mode where no moderation is required as soon as possible.

For record, I put up articles with the intention of making the readers to think. I also like to read what the commentators are thinking. It gives different perspective on issues. Sometime we see things from one angle where we do not see the whole picture and the comment helps just to do that. Therefore I would like to humbly put forward the following request to all commentators.

In commenting please apply self restraint. Don’t insult others. Put forward your argument professionally in a way that you do not insult a person’s heritage, their ethnic or religious background. Political differences are a norm in every country but that does not mean that we cannot apply self restraint.

I do not wish to be the referee in determining what can be posted and what can’t be posted. I just don’t have the time as blogging is a part time affair for me. We are all adults which has the ability to think. Let’s be courteous and do not cross boundaries. You can’t change the view of a strong UMNO or PR supporter. Let them continue with their respective believe. Therefore live and let lived. Can I count on your support to ensure that I continue blogging?

Doc, perhaps many are too drag into the footsteps of our BN government.

The comments that we read all over here and internet show that there is very serious element of ‘mistrust’ amongst rakyat of all races and religious beliefs.
As long as such ‘mistrust’ is there, Malaysia will never be a great democracy / country, as such element is the key factor in deciding which ‘color’ to vote by its rakyat. It is apparent which side of the political divide is in favour of the existence of ‘mistrust’ amongst rakyat, the more serious, the better for them.
The votes are in our hands. Make sure we use our votes to eliminate such ‘mistrust’ as much as possible. For instant, if A is not credible, and B is more credible than A, my vote is to B even though his skin color is different from mine.

I prefer NOT to be the moderator. The commentator should moderate their own comments. Simple methods
(1) Ask yourself if someone writes the way you write against yourself. If you honestly feel it is OK, then post the comment

Moderation is the keyword. Any form of extremism is bad; even in the name of religion, sexuality, gender, et cetera.

Moderation is the key word…, nobody want’s to dispute that…, but….when when a issue haggles on race and religion…., let it blast…, for we are matured enough to digest it.
We are not idiots…, we have seen everthing , from 513.., so we just want things to be different…rer., we just about need change,,, not via threat and handouts…, but via sincere politiking.

Take it easy. Though we all have our opinions, we should also respect each others.
I guess it may be a good idea to draft out what you wanted to comment, then go through it again if it is what you wanted the rest to read. Though you may be sincere in your comments, but others may get offended by your frankness.

This reminder is good as partisan politics are clouding discourse into personal attacks rather on issues.
We have to intellectually focus to regain our collective wisdom by trying to understand with all sincerity why this country is in this state of mistrust.
Satan and his coterie of Whisperers (haven’t you notice that of late these Whisperers have transformed into homosapiens!). So we have eyes but we are “blind” and we have ears but we are “deaf”. If we continue like this Allah will next seal our heart-nazubillah !
