I believe the regular readers of my blog, would have sensed that off late my write up has been more accommodating in defending BN and whatever they have been doing. That is my character. If you do good I say you do good but if you do bad, I will scorn you. I have criticized PR quite a fair bit because of the party polls fiasco. I got myself closer to the BN folks in the process. Like millions of others in this country, I am fed up with the unfinished politicking in this country especially when it comes to petty issues which are aimed at scoring political mileage and not focusing on the people.
-
My researched on Gapurna/Puncak Wangi/Azmin Ali shows me how dirty Malaysian politics are. It is my conclusion that FMT was used by AA recent enemies from the heart of Damansara to tear him down. That case actually straightens my thinking a fair bit. I have decided that I will not join politics and will remain as an NGO to championed people issues. I don’t have the necessary skills to be a politician in Malaysia.
-
Since the issue of the appointment of Selangor SS was highlighted, I sensed a strong Déjà vu of the Perak episode recurring here in Selangor. The many legal eagles who have been giving their comments about the issue in my blog have their own view. I am not a lawyer but I appreciation of the issue of law is simple. From the moral and constitutional point of view, I am clear in my mind the current Perak government is illegal. The former MB loss of support has not been established in the state assembly and Sultan has acted beyond his powers under the law. I have no doubt about that and for that reason my banner remains black.
-
This morning, I was shocked to read that the Selangor Palace has sent out invitations to Kushrin appointment as the SS which is to be witnessed by the Sultan. The yearend shocking news shows how the palace has interfered in the administration of the State. The people interest has been placed secondary and no respect has been given to the due process and the laws. The law is clear that the SS is to be sworn in by the MB and not the Sultan. The Sultan is interfering in the administrative process.
-
In my mind, the Selangor palace has gone overboard with their actions. It is not much different than in Perak and these two royals has initiated dangerous precedents which threaten the long term survival of the monarchy system in Malaysia. Now I begin to appreciate why Mahathir took steps to control the monarch. The monarch failed to take into account that BN may not rule this nation for ever. It takes an endorsement in the State Assembly and change in constitution to further limit their powers. Mahathir has given the people the unobstructed path to the legislators just to do that. One wrong move, I sensed that if PR wins the next GE, the powers of the Sultan will be further defined. There will be a long list on what they cannot do!
-
The law clearly states that the SS swearing in to be done by the MB and not by anyone else. I guess what will happened is that the palace will invite Khalid to the event and automatically Khalid presence can be interpreted that the MB was present during the swearing in of the SS and therefore it is legal. His failure to attend will played by the media as disrespecting the Sultan. It is a catch 22 position. Maybe the MB should consider falling sick and get himself hospitalized on that day?
-
Right now, the short sighted move by BN is damaging all the good work that Najib does. Perception index on Najib has improved in certain segment of the society. I guess APCO people have done their homework in forecasting the outcome and preparing a counter strategy in controlling the damage. They must have done the scenario planning and comes out with plan A, B, C etc. I am watching the development of the SS closely. If Kushrin does get appointed and sworn in by the Sultan than BN will lose my vote. Maybe the Sultan should step down from the throne and consider a fulltime political career.
BN making people hates them!
December 31, 2010 by Dr R@28

Doc,
I’m just carrying out steadyaku’s request…., no harm hope so…?
You have read it….., remove it if you feel so.
Only in Malaysia…only in Malaysia!
Today at Belaga Najib announced that the Federal government has agreed in principle to write off the balance of RM41 Million in housing loans owned by 1500 families who were relocated following the construction of the Bakun Dam. “Because there was a strong basis to give the villagers such assistance!” Just as there is a strong basis for MACC to kill Teoh Beng Hock? For the UTK guys to blow up Altantuya? Huh!
Then we see the spectacle of a 74 year-old Taib Mahmud marrying a 28 year old Syrian. We see this situation everyday in any of the massage parlor that abounds in Bukit Bintang. He driven by lust and she driven by money – and they each service each other and all is done within the hour….but this Sarawak Syrian union will last a bit longer. How much longer is really none of my concern. And he is Chief Minister of Sarawak? God help that Chief Minister and then God help Sarawak!
Then there is that sad and sorry saga of Ummi Haflida Ali seeking another 15 minutes of fame and a last payday before the advent of old age catches up with her. Now I know that I did not have sex with that girl! Though Norazman Abdullah @ Baginda anak Minda did claimed that he had sex with Ummi in London! Anybody else who can claim that she had sex with this Ummi Haflida Ali?
Then there is the matter of the Utusan Senior Reporter being suspended for being critical of his own UMNO-owned daily. Utusan Malaysia is the number one selling Malay-Language daily with a circulation of around 180,00. This, according to the people at Utusan, is a remarkably high net circulation under the Bahasa Malaysia category. Yeah right! UMNO has 3.6 million registered members and Utusan’s circulation is 180,000? What does that say about Utusan? That even UMNO members will not buy Utusan? Die lah like that! The truth is this: By any category the circulation of this newspaper sucks! Utusan Malaysia is a sorry excuse for a daily.
How sad that our Malay leaders keep isolating themselves and most Malays from the realities that is out there. And everyday and every time that they do so we Malays sink lower into the abyss of inbreeding ourselves intellectually. We cannot gain strength from competition and exposure to others who are better then us. And into all this comes the chant of Ketuanan Melayu! How much more can the Malays take of this condescending attitude of their own leaders?
Now Syed Mokhtar. Debts of RM$25 biillion? That is more debts then what some countries has. I am told that these debts are structured in such a way that it presents no danger to the banking system of the country! Agreed. No danger to the Banking System of the United Kingdom or the USA but what about the Malaysian Banking System! Bro just this reminder. If Lehman Brothers Holding Inc. can declare bankruptcy you think Syed Mokhtar is invincible? Syed Mokhtar does business within a cocoon. The UMNO cocoon. UMNO gives him projects. UMNO banks bankrolls him. UMNO gives him all the breaks that he needs. Take UMNO away and Syed Mokhtar’s business dies a natural death quicker then you or anyone else can say Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Have the educated, intelligent and rational generation of Malays all left UMNO?
When the court initially finds in favor of the opposition as in Perak – they appeal its decision confident that the Judiciary is ultimately theirs to instruct and manage. When a death in custody happens the usual suspects are paraded. A commission, an inquiry, no stones unturned….and then slowly but surely nothing will come of it. They play the Judiciary as if it was their own – and why not when the Chief Justice is indeed their own. Whenever a situation arise that will give problems to them they no longer even have the decency to pay lip service to placate the Rakyat – now days it is deny, deny deny.
Deny there was ever any intention to humiliate the Hindus in the cow-head incident. Deny that there was anything wrong in the caning sentence of Kartika but nevertheless no less a person then the Prime Minister himself has asked her to appeal for a reduction in her sentence.
Arrest 16 people for carrying yellow candles and red and white roses who were seeking freedom of religion in this country. They invoke the name of ALLAH at their whims and fancies and see no sin in promoting the very sins that Islam frowns upon. For surely corruption and greed is also corruption and greed whether in Mecca or Malaysia?
That all this has become the norm for UMNO frightens me. This is the arrogance of power that I am talking about. Perhaps the most outrageous example of this arrogance is their inability to understand that there are other points of view to be considered other then their own. To them any deviations from their point of view is a conspiracy to undermine their ability to hold on to power – no matter what.
I try to do this. By my writing if I can turn one person against UMNO – just one – then we are one person ahead towards our ‘brand new beginning’. Do as I do. Go talk to one person and bring him or her into our fold – then one by one we will slowly but surely build up our strength and strike down UMNO and Barisan. Go do it now! You are one. With me we are two!
Does convention, as claimed by the Palace, takes precedent over the Constitution that comes with the force of law.
I read somewhere the Palace is citing Convention overiding tomorrow;s ceremony of conversion as Oath of Secrecy.
A bunch of clowns running the country.
A better reason why BN/UMNO is making us hate them :

Dr Rafick
I can subscribe to your view in regard to FMT.
Dear Dr Rafick
Please join Imtiaz Malik and run for political office.
PKL
Thank you for the support. I have decided that I will not run for any political appointment. However, I will provide support to get a good politician to be elected
Dr R, sorry for the late respond. Anway, like to comment on your comment, ‘lets agree to disagree’. You don’t get it do you doc. If you talk about politics, you should talk on points of principle. and please don’t be like politicians especially BN politicians. They will say anything under the sun and when things begin to stir hot, they will issue statements like, ‘I was misquoted’ and blah, blah kind of excuses. A good example, your Najib approved gaming license to Vincent Tan and when PAS almost created havoc, he turned around and said,
‘ KEPUTUSAN BELUM MUKTAMAD’. There are many other instances where this BN govt, that you say is good has turned around to nullify their already approved projects by just saying, ‘ KEPUTUSAN BELUM MUKTAMAD ( KBM ). A party that has full control of powers over the states goes around using bullying tactics over the opposition states. Look at your own Blog heading, isn’t it concerns about democracy in Perak. Now, I would say democracy is at stake in the whole country. Look at how the opposition parliamentarians are treated in the Dewan Rakyat. What have you got say ? I wouldn’t go into details. I am sure you as a blogger know whats happening in the Dewan Rakyat. Do you see any democracy at work in Malaysia. You can’t talk or demonstrate on the road and you are not allowed to raise the rakyat’s issues in the Dewan. Does all this augur well for your children. See how indiscimately police take actions on even our youths and get away with it even if involves death of the citizens. Why. Why all these happen. It’s simple democracy is not at work. Your Najib and it’s UMNO/BN is not principled.
You as a doctor should be more consistent in your stand. Please do not judge and pass judgments on a party when it hardly has any powers. I notice you have been demanding , would say you are ‘over’ in your demands when as a learned person you know or should I say you ought to know the limited powers the opposition have even in their own states. A good example now is, Najib is forcing Khusrin down Khalids throat. So, it’s another Perak in the making. Is this democracy?? Pakatan govt has no pwers. Thats why, it should be given powers and time frame and when they fail to deliver, then you comment, I will be there to support you.
Dear Abdullah
(1)From the point of value and principle, I believe I am consistent.
(2) I am a Perak boy but not a registered voter in Perak. What happened in Perak is wrong. I say it is wrong and maintain it as such. My position on this matter remains the same. The banner says it all and I extend my support to PR in Perak because they are right.
(3) My position in Selangor with regards to Kushrin also the same. It is wrong and I maintain it as such
(4) My expectation for PR Selangor is to be exemplary in many ways. As a state government they have powers. They should use their powers.
(5) You had mentioned that I was overly critical on PR selangor and I assume it is related to Abandon Housing. On this subject matter, there are too many details that for me to rehash. Basically Anwar shook my hand and make promises, his PA Rafizi Ramli misled me for nearly 2 months that certain paper was being prepared to revive abandon housing and on factual basis it can be proven, there was no such thing.
After our “4000 votes” tender, we see both the Federal Government and State Government is now working to get our attention. We now see project is working even on sundays.
(6) On Azmin non assistance and lack of accessibility I am consistent as that what is lacking. Try calling him or sms he and see if he replies you. If you dont have his number, email me I will give you. When FMT wrote rubbish about Azmin Ali and Puncak Wangi, I defended Azmin because he was not involved there. He thanked me for that.
(7) On Najib, we need to look from the national policy angle in serving the nation. There are things that he does is right and there are thing that he does is wrong. For me to list down it would take time..may be later as I need to rush to work and be stuck in the 1st day of school jam! Suffice to say, I support him on MRT and I disagree with him when he created a blunder by announcing that the construction of the 100 storey tower in KL in his budget. It implied that it is a government project but in reality it is a PNB project
Doc,
I know you will will call a spade a spade and you will appreciate the good work done even if it’s BN…and scorn them if they are wrong….., but Doc these guys in BN have seen worst scorn then a BITCH will throw at them…, for them this is perkara biasa.
Basically, you are not cut up to play a role of a politician…, why..? You have no ambitions…., need not look for monetary gains…., but then again we had such pedigree after Merdeka…., like Tun Ismail who was not into politics for whatever gain….? Just service to the rakyaat.
All this change after the Mamak.
On the SS issue……I feel its a prelude to another Perak Fiasco…, ” Let It Be ” so sang the Beatles.
The Rulers are just following their paymasters who give them millions in the form of projects. Do they have any conscience…, I doubt.
Just hope the people don’t rebel…, and stir all the weakness of the royalties.
Most forget when UMNO was divide in 1988 …., the late Johor Sultante…., even organize a event in the palace grounds to ammend the fractions….., so is not the rulers beholden to UMNO.
Then what happens 1993…..Mamak with the help of UTUSAN and MSM whacked them out of their senses…, Mamak even went on a roadshow to discreed the rulers…, till they had no water face….,
Now the rulers are again playing a game….togather with….UMNO/BN….., the stakes are high…, the populace is equally divided…., who know the outcome.
They the Rulers just forgot they were suppose to be non Partisan….., sad …..money talks louder then anything else.
If not why are they non partisan.
On Najib…..Doc, ….all his plans are just about plans…, we need not say his good works…., nothing have materialize, most lebih angin. Anyway as the PM he must do this for the nation ….not go claim he is doing this and that..?
Just ask youself how much the price of fuel has escalated after he took over the helm…., how much of subsidies have been remove from the rakyaat…., till his Minister justify it to save Malaysia been Bankrupt…..
But what Najib forgot was all the wastages and leakages.., then runs into hundreds of Billions.
Still we have morons in Bn supporting them..?
Dear Dr Rafick
Happy New Year to you and all the readers especially Balasi and AK. Have been enjoying a good reading for the year 2010. This is the first time I have seen that many comments are being amended by admin. I do not wish to see you being hailed up under ISA for your passionate writings. Maybe it might be a good idea to slow down a little bit for this year.
Wishing everyone again a Happy & Meaningful Year.
Dear Sinaran Ukay,
My regards to you and sis, and also My New Year Greetings.
Yes…., Doc needs to be carefull about his passionate writings….., but can we just watch and do nothing about it..?
Somebody ….just needs to carry the task…, you agree, so for that matter….., Doc need not fear…., seeking the truth is Doc’s motto.
For me …..People First, Democracy Now! The struggle must continue……Change will come.
Cheeers Sinaran Ukay.
Balasi
Dr Rafick had done a wonderful job with his articles and scoops. All I can say is that 2011 gonna be an exciting year for politics and the stock market. The political parties will be preparing for the General Election while the KLCI is preparing to test a new High.
This year gonna be another busy year for us. Would be wonderful if able to spend more time in Dr Rafick’s blog.
Dear Sinaran Ukay,
Many thanks and happy returns to both of you. I am hopeful for a good year ahead. May we strive to do good in our endeavour inspite of the polemic surrounding us.
Dear AK
Fully agree with you that we must strive to do good and to help others. You and Dr Rafick efforts on Ukay Bistari are now seeing the progress. Bravo.
Abang Ak/ Sinaran Ukay,
Let polemics be so. We have a bigger agenda.
Ukay…., find time to engage, okay bro..!
Doc,
A Perak fiasco awaiting in Selangor is not hard to believe.
But this will be a hard fought fight unlike Perak. The people are getting sick…more for a Selangorian like me.
BN togather with their resources and the MSM are Hellbend on causing us misery…, withholding Development funds to selective provisions on dispersing funds to areas under BN rule and not o the others …….reads like its their money and not the Rakyaats.
Now we have the Royalty playing the Piper.., hope its not for long.
We must admit….its the rights by law for the KSN to select the SS……, and he forwards the name to the Sultan. What is the ROLE of the SULTAN after that….incase the MB has not made or name his nominees….?
HRH should ask the MB to seek a audience and ask him if the person selected for SS is able or not to work with the SG….., That HRH should have done and not take what his shoved down his throat and leave MB in the dark.
Most believe that Kushrin is planted to make the State fail…, so is the Ruler playing with it or his goons around him..?
According to Prof Aziz Bari and Karpal….., there is no provision for a swearing in ceremony for a SS ….., just a cosmetic show…first practice in Selangor in 2006. The OATH of SECRECY , by a SS is taken infront of the MB…. so why bother about the invitations ….., just ask the MB and Exco go enjoy a tea party.
If the Sultan still persists on his appointment give a office at the lobby to receive complaints….( Joking lah….)
Anyway, Doc I assume you read steadyaku47 today…, I did …., so were its comments……, my my ….I use to think my comments were overboard…, these are shocking.
For readers who have not read it do so at steadyaku47.
Read more at: http://steadyaku-steadyaku-husseinhamid.blogspot.com/2011/01/methinks-sultan-of-selangor-does-too.html
I just read steadyaku.. comparatively it seems I am very mild
Doc , I think we should give PR a chance to rule the country as BN has been in power federally for the past 52 years.
If the present corruption, abuse of power and mismanagement are not curtailed, we will be the Zimbabwe of SEA.
As corruption is too deep-rooted in the present regime , I guess a change of central government is the only way to save Malaysia.
I would hate to see that one day in the not too distant future , fellow Malaysians will be working in Thailand , Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan , Hongkong and other countries as laborers and maids.
Agreed to certain extent
KK,
Totally agree with you …., the call sign in UMNO/BN is all about money….
For MCA/MIC members,…….even a PJK or PPN..makes their knee go jelly….Idiot’s! They just fall prey to some worthless silverware….., they cannot even use as merits for their afterlives.
Some jokers rent coats for the event when they can hardly feed their families.
53 years is like a rotten Proton ….., just give PR a term or two…., then we can gauge their capabilities.
But we need to rid dead wood like DSAI and others.
error afterlife.
Balasi,
Though being in UK for 2 years, I realised that the Pakatan Rakyat requires 2 terms of federal government to complete total reform. Clement Atlee says so….Harold Wilson says so…..As for RPK, I will question him on what happen on what Lib-Dem reneged on the tuition fee hike…..
Lib -Dem back in 1997 PROMISED FREE TUITION FEE EVEN FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS including me….I know they will renege……Thank god, they lost Guildford when I was in 1997……By the way, they can’t because it’s a Tory safe seat then.
I already knew that third force does not work back in 1997……..Pakatan Rakyat need to be like Tony Blair did in 1997……I was part of it…….It’s massive…..Need another major tsunami to sunk BN once & for all……..
Loose74,
I assume you were born in 1974, …..it’s always nice reading comments from a younger generation…..,
Can you do me a favour.?, get in touch with some guys in PR and give them your feedbacks.
Even though I’m not a member of any political party…., I feel you can contribute if you believe in change……, if not just join a NGO like Aliran.
They must have done the scenario planning and comes out with plan A, B, C etc. I am watching the development of the SS closely. If Kushrin does get appointed and sworn in by the Sultan than BN will lose my vote.
Zik: It depends on the outcome, correct?
zik,
You still believe in this corrupted regime….., if you are married…., you are not doing any favour for your children.
UMNO/BN needs to go back to the basics…., I mean go back to kindagarden and work their way up….
It will take at the least two generation to cleanse the UMNO / BN party from corruptions …, and three to cleanse our Civil Servants.
After 5 decades of UMNO dominated rule of this country, in my mind, there is nothing much left to debate about the merits and de-merits of permitting it to continue. The fact is that it has MIS-RULED this country since the British gave it to them on a silver platter.
PR will never be the perfect panacea to UMNO’s mis-rule. Far from it. But it will be the first step that Malaysian must take to make this country started in the right direction to positive change.
Malaysians should be smart enough to realise this after half a century of abuse and mis-rule by UMNO dominated political coalition. After all the Indonesians did, the Thai did, the Vietnamese did and the Phillipinoes did. They threw out their tyrants, abusers and mis-rulers. It’s high time Malaysians do too.
mycuntree,
Agree with you….any suggestions for laymen who don’t understand how to go about it.?
Try provoking something that hit their minda.
Dear balasi,
As a layman myself, I have to admit that there is a limit as to how a layman can go about educating the general public about the truth that has been going on in this country of ours.
The issues are too many and in many ways “complicated” by issues of politics, ethnics and religion. When any of these 3 factors, more so when that of ethnic and religion comes into play, Malaysians has this propensity to be defensive and protective of either or both; thus diluting their ability to see sense in anything beyond that. Any wonder why the politicians always resort to these 2 instinctive issues when they do not have a better way?
Personally, what I can do is to spread and share this knowledge with those close to me, my family, my relatives, my friends; and anyone to share with whenever that opportunity arise. And of course on a site like this (blogs, news sites etc) itself. I also forward articles that highlights such issues to all in my email list. That by itself may not amount to very much, but there must be a beginning, a first step. And at this moment in time, that’s what I can contribute to this “further awakening” of the Malaysian rakyat.
mycuntree,
You could not have said it any better…., we need more people like you to make this country a safe Heaven…..void of what we see happening all round the world.
Sect’s among their own Religion can destroy themselves…, you feel sick…, but then again they feel its right…its their right…, but God is great…., he never sow all in one boat..! He knew it would happen.
So takeare Bro…., let loose whenever you feel so.
Cheers H.N.Y.
Admin – Your comment was removed as it is too HOT! — you trying to sent me to jail?
Dear Dr. Rafick,
I am a thoroughbred Selangorean and I am highly sensitive to the happenings in the state. Should Kushrin be ‘installed’ by the Sultan as the new SS, I am going to say my piece, and I am not alone in this.
It is sad that the KSN (or was he instructed to do what he did) had to stoop so low as to ignore the wishes of the democratically elected state government, and to get the Sultan involved.
I just wonder what was in the mind of the Sultan when he nodded to the wishes of the KSN.
What was in HRH.. your guess is as good as mine
Up North even worst……One government can suka2 change the constituition without 2/3 majority……
Again if some goons bother to read what happen in England during the civil war…..Perhaps, it would knock sense……
You know what goes around comes around
Having said that what’s so different between the Isreali government & Malaysia federal government…..
by hook & by crook running the country…….
Dear Mohd,
I am sure dollar and no sense are in the mind, certain terms must have been negotiated, as one respondent puts it, remember the Sunshine Fleet.
good doc,
think you better watch your words else they may throw the ISA book at you.
its very clear from day one BN will try to undermine the PR state govts. notably, BN has tried to strangle the state govts financially by withholding the funding. look at the unesco heritage funding fiasco.
this appointment is just another sabotage strategy. BN will never respect the voter’s rights and decision. and for thsi, BN deserves to be kicked out. What more, news in the maket, though unverified, suggest that there’s a cover up for a rapist in the cabinet.
It is hard for us to think for this country, feel sad about it….. fret about it…. and wonder in dismay as to whatever is happening!
The mad cows are at work again….
WIN AT ALL COST – THE ORDERS HAVE BEEN DISHED OUT BY THE COMMANDER
So the troops are now required to follow blindly and do the JOB!
At whatever cost and consequences – even dead bodies and SPILLING Blood is not a PROBLEM
So what are we to say, orders are orders, as good soldiers they will follow BLINDLY !
Komando,
If they still believe and follow their religion and taught the true meaning of deeds, karma and afterlife then we can say we will be safe…, but on the contrary…if they don’t fear god just like their leaders and no fear even to swear in the mosque or temple……, them it’s doom
RM & Power seem to be their GOD…., might be right or wrong.
orang biasa macam saya also know that the royalty is not apolitical although they preach themselves to be so.
The sultan definitely interfered with the administrative process of the state. This is similar to what the sultan of perak had done. These sultans have no respect for the rakyat and there demand that the rakyat to respect the sultans? (rephrase by admin) They are beholden to their BN paymaster and not the rakyat.
Robert
It is still not clear to me whether the Sultan interfered or his goons around him…
However, if the Royalty does not take note about this and still continuing their day to day personal and business affair, it may have a long term impact on the survival of the monarchy system in Malaysia.
History has shown that bigger empire has lost Maharajah (india), Emperor (China), Kings (Russia) and they should take note of lessons from history.
Raffick,
Plus in Good Old England…..Once upon a time, England was a de-facto republic state. Before France or USA
History of monarchs in china demonstrated clearly how monarchs could be manipulated by those that he surrounded himself with. UMNO knew this and had used this for a long while now.
Evil agenda gets promoted in the presence of the monarch.
If the monarch has the wisdom he will see through all these charade if not then the evil agenda will be realised.
In in Vietnam now, and saw the country growing economies without the sick politics and abused power of the government and Royalty. Visit the museum which saw how strong this people fought against American. Now everybody focusing on improving their life. Their schooling fees have to be paid, same goes to Hospitals and many more but when asked they don’t complaint much as they know that everybody faced the same thing. People whom worked hard got the batter life. Asked do they like their government and they have no complaint as they have gone to traumatic years with the American and French which had divided their life when their Governing.
Also read on Vietnam Newspaper column talking about Malaysia trying to get the professionals back to the country. Interviewed A Chinese, Malaysian and Indian, all of them had the same thought that they don’t even imagine to come back to country. The surprise is that a Malay working in Singapore had the same thought that he will not have his fair chance if he had worked in Malaysia. As only well connected people will have the opportunity in getting onto the higher ranking or the good businesses.
What a shame that people are talking on our issues now and they’re taking every chances to gain into their economic success.
Many co. are investing in Vietnam now not because they can offer better than us but at least Vietnam don’t offer this sick Politics and miss-used Power by the Government and the Royalties!!
- True Malay that felt ashamed to be Malaysian!!!
Doc.
My apologies to Jon, please retract the above comments…….read about this somewhere…trying to figure out.
Sorry Jon.
Weldone Doc , you have written without fear or favor.
Please keep up the good work.
Doc,
Whatever the position of the law on this, I have to agree with you.
The SS should at least be a person whom the MB can work with, otherwise it would be difficult for the state to function.
The problem is that neither party is practicing constructive politicking!
I hope both sides will step back and re evaluate what they are doing and start doing the right thing!
Good to know that we have a common understanding on the issue. If the COO and CEO does not see eye to eye than company will kaput!
Dr,this is what Najib wants precisely,to bring down a legally elected state govt. This action is plain evil.
If legally speaking, the power to nominate is with the Federal Government. However, like I said, certain level of courtesy should be given to the MB for him to comment and the Federal Government should weigh the views of the MB heavily when making the nomination.
Constitutionally the Sultan is required to give his approval to what has been nominated by the Federal Government. Therefore the Sultan’s hands are tied and he has to comply with the State’s constitution.
The fault here is our politicians (BN and PR) is playing gutter politics. PR starting with the allegation 916 massive frog jumping in Parliament and subsequently allowed a BN ADUN to jump in Perak. BN followed with encouraging more Perak ADUN to jump. PR when on with linking Attantuya with Najib based on hearsay. BN alleging DSAI being a sodomist.
In the parliament, nothing constructive is being debated by our MPs. Why don’t the MP weight the bills present and debate it like intelligent people and not like Balasi here (hmmm Balasi are you a Yang Berhormat?
).
This is all wrong. We have to move forward and stop this mudslinging. The only way is that the Rakyat must step forward and chastise both BN and PR when they start destructive and stupid issues.
ServiceB4Self,
True….DSAI created all this phenomena about frogs..916, Perak Bn frog and then the PR Frogs that BN created…?
No problem here….untill MB Perak was force to give up his post by a wise guy, you claim so.
Let’s leave it at that….., since I don’t want to take any credit from you for representing the UMNO GOONs in PERAK….and winning it with the help of some GOONS in some places.
Just talk about Altantuya….., you assume this is hearsay..? ( From your point as a senior Lawyer )
i. Who were involve..?
a. Razak Baginda
b. Two officers from the DPM security protocol.
c. Any others might be the then Najib and his Wife.
ii. What was their motive to murder the lady..?
iii. Why was Razak’s acquittal not appealed by our learned stupid AG.
iv. Can the two officers buy C4 from a hardware shop..?
I would like to say here that I had a dream that implicates the DPM’s wife…..how don’t ask me so.
everybody dreams…
Okay coming to your question ” Balasi are you a YB ”
Yes! for idiot lawyers like you who cannot comprehend a spin.. I thought lawyers are good for that…., sad to say you a Senior Lawyer cannot read within the lines. Our Judges could be worst then you lot, …anyway most don’t deserve to be there in the first place …, whose that guy from UMNO..?
Anyway Congrats for winning the Perak Fiasco case hope you will take up the up coming Selangor Fiasco case…..and make aname of yourself.
The very key issue on Najib’s involvement in the Altantuya case is that all blatantly direct leads and clues implicating him were blanked out in the investigative process, thus leading his defenders to counter with the stupid retort ” where is the evidence?”
If only even a rookie cop were to be allowed an unfettered probe into the case, then the a can of worms would have been opened.
Amin,
In our country, no matter how well covered up, somehow or another, there will be exposé thru the blogs.
On Altantuya’s case, where is the hard evidence exposé? Even from the blogs?
One can easily accuse you Amin being a sodomist but is it incumbent on the accuser to produce the evidence instead of asking you to show evidence that you are not a sodomist?
SBS
On other matters, I sometime comes across very “HOT and RELIABLE” information but dare not published them as I have to take into consideration on the IMPLICATIONS. I believe it is the same with many blogs as the death risk is very high when one talk about any concrete link with Althantuya. This could explains the dearth of information related to Althantuya
Doc,
I wish to take your quote “Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.”.
I can’t accept what you say unless you can actually show the evidence.
Everyone has a motive (hidden or otherwise)especially when one say “I know of such and such, but I can’t tell you”.
ServiceB4Self,
What happen to the immigration records.?
Wonder….if you had a piece of the cake..?
How the Hell did the two guys, from DPM sec. Pro. get to know this lady..?
Okay…., might be from RAZAK.
How did Razak get to know these guys..?
Somebody call…?
Who recommendded..?
Let’s built up a case here SB4S…, okay with you.
Balasi,
Lets analyse your questions and link it to our law of evidence.
Before one is to consider any information, that information must be considered as accepted evidence.
Firstly, we need to determine the facts.
Assuming what you say is correct – “DPM Security Detail knowing the victim”, what does that conclude? The fact DPM’s bodyguard knows of the DPM’s good friend’s girlfriend, therefore anything that happens to that girl, the DPM is involved?
You query, why did the DPM security detail got involved with the murder of the girl then? You then conclude that the ONLY explanation is that DPM instructed his security detail to murder the girl.
Balasi, just bear with me. Could there be any other explanation?
Clearly, your staff and bodyguard will definitely know who your good friends are. If your good friend were to approach your staff to do them a favour (especially within their particular capabilities), I am certain your staff will do such favour for your friend without even telling you.
Could such thing occur?
So Razak approach an Insp for help. Could such Inspector knowing who Razak is to the DPM, assisted Razak without bothering to tell the DPM, by recommending the UTK officers to help Razak out?
I am sure my conclusion is also probable.
Unfortunately either one of our opinion, is not admissable in court under our laws of evidence. You need to produced evidence showing that DPM had indeed instructed the UTK officers to murder the victim.
What I see as unhealthy is that, we as mature adults (considering that you may well be at least 55 years old), willing to consider opinions based on circumstantial facts as accurate and gospel truth.
If we want to list down all the evidence, firstly we have to agree to not consider 1. opinions and 2. hearsay evidence. If you take out both of these elements, what evidence is left?
ServiceB4Self,
It can all be summarize in one Term…..
” They is no SCORN worst then from a Bitch ” or more precise..a whore.
Amin,
That means we have corrupted guys in all sectors from top to bottom…?
HOW CAN THIS COUNTRY SURVIVE…?
WE are also deem as a ass!
Balasi,
I believe you are a paid PKR cybertrooper.
Dr R- I can confirm that he is not and if you had a chance to meet him, you will see that he is a “gentle giant”. I can arrange if you guys want to have coffee
Reason being that you have been consistently bringing up old issues whether it is related to the topic at hand. Either that or you are an old goon with no other ideas and view points.
Responding to your comment: “Just talk about Altantuya….., ”
i. Who were involve..?
“a. Razak Baginda” – fact is he was having an affair with Altantuya. No other facts were produced.
Dr R- To simplistic conclusion considering the many telephone calls, sms between political masters and the Najib legal council.
“b. Two officers from the DPM security protocol.”- fact is during a trial where one’s life is on the line, neither one of the officers gave evidence that they were instructed by DPM or Rosmah to kill Altantuya. Please note that one of the officers were on Pak Lah’s security detail overseas just before he was called back and arrested. Could Pak Lah instead be the one who should be suspected?
Dr R- My question is (1) WHY this two goons that knows nothing about this girl goes about and kill her? (2) Could it be that they are silent as a clamp because they have greater fear of the safety of their other family members? (3) Could it be some deals has been made? In my mind when one’s life is on the line, I would expect him to talk. If he doesnt it is because of fear.
“c. Any others might be the then Najib and his Wife” – Najib’s link is to Razak Baginda. It was DSAI’s instruction to PKR black ops/cyber troopers to try to connect Najib to Altantuya. Remember the cut and paste photo?
“ii. What was their motive to murder the lady..?” – I don’t know and neither do you. Does that mean just because we don’t know we concluded that Najib is responsible?
Dr R- The murder was premeditated with intention to get rid of evidence. We dont know enough to conclude anything other than speculating some of the facts. Names like Musa Safri seems to escape the attention of many.
“iii. Why was Razak’s acquittal not appealed by our learned stupid AG.” – there are many cases where the prosecution lost and the acquittal was not appealed! Does that mean the accused is still guilty or like you have pointed out that our AG is stupid, the AG proceeded with a charge that has no basis in the first place.
“iv. Can the two officers buy C4 from a hardware shop..?”- I dunno. Does a hardware store sell C4? If they don’t, my answer would be in the negative. C4 is like plasticine. During training, officers can take out 400g from the armoury but only use 350g and keep 50g. Of course they report that they expended 400g. Repeat that 10 times, you would have 500g of C4.
Dr R – The C4 might have come through the army engineers network
“I would like to say here that I had a dream that implicates the DPM’s wife…..how don’t ask me so.
everybody dreams…” – Balasi, I hope you didn’t have a wet dream ….. Hahahahahha. If you had a wet dream about Rosmah, please don’t tell me about the gory detail. The images would be too disturbing.
Conclusion is the evidence you put forward is extremely circumstantial and I conclude that you and all the PKR cybertroopers had to link it to Najib on the orders of your BELOVED SUPREME GOD GIVEN LEADER DSAI! Like you have admitted, you do spin.
Dr R- I think neither party had put up any evidence other than view points based on information available on public domain.
If MB do take the matter to court, it would be an action against the Federal Govt therefore it would be the AG defending the case and not any private law firms. Based on the law, I think the Federal Govt will win but I feel that the Federal Govt should cut the Selangor Govt some slack and let them consider the list of nominees instead of bypassing it altogether.
Dr R- I feel if MB wants to go to court it should be done after sultan swears in Kushrin. He should not challenge the appointment but rather challenge the swearing in as that is not constitutional. To me if the MB wins that in court, then Federal government is stuck of swallowing their own sputum. If they dont withdraw Kushrin than he might end up doing the job of an office boy or a filing clerk.
What I don’t understand is why double standards?
In Perak, PR said that Sultan has no discretion and must do as the MB request. But here in Selangor, PR says that the Sultan has discretion and shouldn’t approve the nominee of KSN.
There is absolutely no principled stand coming from PR!
Do tell me, does PR want the Sultan to have discretion in making their decision or just to follow blindly what the Constitution say?
Had 916 frog exercise occurred, would PR be angry if the BN requested to dissolve the Parliament and the Agong complied
ServiceB4Self,
Would thank Doc, for rebutting some, would like to address you myself.
I’m not a paid trooper…., but I believe in the rights of the people.
I will be there …even if you need me..
Next fact.
Razak having a affair with Altantuya…, So be it, but how did she come to know about Razak..?
……if not for Najib…., who even claim she is
accommodating three ways..?
Take care of her since I’m already DPM material..? ( SD- Bala )
One officer was on Paklah’s security detail.., you are wrong it was Najib…., and he was on duty in Bangladesh….before been recalled.
( could be wrong here…., ,but then you can rebut to make it more the merrier..)
Who ask MUSA SABRI to recommend these guys to Razak Baginda..?
What was Razaks sworn statement in court…?
Is it not a fact that hundreds in the court vincity heard Razaks wife scream…and say why must my husband need all these money..?…..he is not crazy of power,…just leave us alone..?
Anyway…Senior Lawyer….., what was the Motive of the two guy to murder Altantuya..?
a. She refuse to sleep with them.
b. Refuse to have it all ways.
c. because she was carrying a child…, that bore a name…that could destroy the fabric of a certain family…., so she was C4.
d. Facing a scorn like any other BITCH.
Stupid AG…., knew that they knew her only through Razak…., so how can he go free and let the Jaga face the burden..? The Chicken as since fleed the country,
Two implicated guys that come to court all faced up in mask…, why..?
This is just a cover up in giving then a new identity.., you believe me..? but its the talk in coffeeshops.
On C4….., you talk like a cock…., because if you talk like that….., then we will be accuse of supplying them to our local terrorist up North.
who most claim is sponsored by our ATM.
Wet Dream no…about Rosmah…., I shit in Bed…( smelly ) ……, might be you are game for this first lady….
My concusion on you …, go stuff your face between your first ladies thighs.
I do spin…., we play Tops those days…, we spin them even on our heads.
To much for you to digress on one comment.., awating your reply…., cheers.
ServiceB4Self,
Let me not take you into circles.., regarding
the Perak Fiasco……, the white hair Sultan was just about wrong in every decision.
You cannot expect him to be right ….., when his daughters firm is vying for a billion dollar projet. The Feds were squeezing some balls. More over some feel he is not the …………?
Okay coming back to Selangor…, this is a different ball game…., a senior lawyer cannot know its difference…? what are you..?
Read Doc’s reply and anwser him on this…,
if not you are just a guy or lawyer who wins because its all set….at all cost.
Balasi,
“……if not for Najib…., who even claim she is accommodating three ways..?” – inadmissable opinion not substantiated with evidence.
“Who ask MUSA SABRI to recommend these guys to Razak Baginda..?
What was Razaks sworn statement in court…?” – questions can’t be considered as concrete evidence.
“Is it not a fact that hundreds in the court vincity heard Razaks wife scream…and say why must my husband need all these money..?…..he is not crazy of power,…just leave us alone..?” – this is because the media was saying that Razak made hundreds of million for himself. This statement can’t be considered as evidence.
“Anyway…Senior Lawyer….., what was the Motive of the two guy to murder Altantuya..?” – another question still can’t be considered as evidence.
“Two implicated guys that come to court all faced up in mask…, why..?
This is just a cover up in giving then a new identity.., you believe me..? but its the talk in coffeeshops.” – these are UTK personnel and like many other people who are charged in court, they always try to cover their face when photographers are around. Are these other people charged in court also looking forward to new identity?
“On C4….., you talk like a cock…., because if you talk like that….., then we will be accuse of supplying them to our local terrorist up North.who most claim is sponsored by our ATM.” – We have to talk cock, otherwise cockrels like you won’t understand. LOL
Bottomline, if I were to delete all the above from your posting, only thing that you said is that you are not a “PAID trooper” but you didn’t say you are not a “PKR Cybertrooper”. Jawab macam lawyer lah you ni!
And that you want me to place my face in between the thigh of someone that you have wet dreams about. ….. Hmmmm, no thanks.
ServiceB4self,
Your answer not only mislead me…., but I assume other commentators and visitors.
I’m in a quandary!
Trooper or cybertrooper ..I’m not , seeking change….I’m one.
Thats about it.
On the Wet dreams …okay lah…., cover the face fire the base..
Doc,
We must admit that bottomline, all what we say are just opinions but not concrete evidence.
If you were prosecuting, would you proceed to charge the PM based on these opinions without concrete evidence?
If you make a decision not to prosecute, do you think it is fair that the public call you corrupt, eventhough your decision was based on sound law?
I have seen many politicians that spin and I know of DSAI’s spin when he was in UMNO. I have personal knowledge as to the corruption that he himself partaked in when he was “Acting PM’.
During the two months he was “Acting PM”, I was totally disgusted with what DSAI did and I swore that DSAI should never be PM after seeing what he did as an “Acting PM” in that two months.
Whenever I see or hear DSAI saying he wants to get rid of corruption, justice and equality, what I see is a hypocrite for I know what he did.
Does anyone wonder why RPK supports DSAI? Many may not know that RPK made his millions from the “Bumiputera” share allocation in George Kent. 3 guesses on who granted that allocation – DSAI! Ask RPK what he did with the shares? Didn’t he sell it to make a quick buck? Therefore, is RPK one of those special Malays who undermined the NEP? What happened to all that money now that he is bankrupt? Ask RPK also, where did he get the tens of thousand of ringgit to renovate his house at 5 Jln BRP 5/5, Bukit Rahman Putra when many years prior to that he couldn’t even pay the RM50 per month security contribution to the residents association, just after DSAI was released from prison especially when you are a bankrupt? Definitely not from his engineer daugther who just started work nor from his drug addict son!
Now, what is our conclusion why RPK is “hentam”ing DSAI? I suppose cost of living in the UK is very expensive especially for an unemployed and bankrupt man. Could RPK be very angry when he is not getting anymore funds from DSAI?
As you can see above, I am able to come up with all sorts of comments and opinions, but without concrete evidence, you will say that it is a spin and that I am an UMNO/MCA/MIC/BN Cybertrooper.
So, you have to understand why I am very skeptical with PKR and their supporters. Just like many here are skeptical with UMNO and their supporters.
Balasi,
PS – in fact MB Selangor might appoint my firm to represent the State government for he surely can’t rely on the State Legal Adviser who is a nominee of the AG!
SBS
Let me know when he does..
ServiceB4Self,
They will…., thats what I heard,…..but not to represent the state …., but to sue Khir Toyo’s nominee company regarding their house SEWERAGE SYSTEM.
Full of Condoms and pampas…., blockage everywhere….?
Please perform to your best Bro., we have to start somewhere to get into the good books.
Balasi,
We don’t need to be in anyone’s good books. Bottomline is that we just perform our best and let the result speak for themselves.
The fact was that Datuk Hafarizam was supposed to represent Zambry but bottomline is that BN decided to go with the most experienced lawyer in town, clearly it wasn’t him.
When we were appointed, we took on the work professionally and read and elucidated on the law as accurate as possible – that was the reason why our arguments were successful.
Likewise, I honestly feel that SSG’s stand is legally wrong in light of the Selangor State Constitution. However, my caveat is that I still feel that KSN should have the courtesy discussed the list of nominees with the MB before presenting to the Sultan for his approval.
The fact PR/TSKI asserted the appointment was unconstitutional means either their legal advisors are 3rd class lawyers (hmmmm, Karpal Singh and Gani Patail obtained 3rd class LLB!) or PR/TSKI knows the actual position of the law but just wants to make an issue out of the SS’s appointment.
If the former, please don’t make the same mistake like Nizar – get good legal advice but if it is the latter, it is extremely irresponsible on the part of PR to just spin it so that it can be an issue.
I don’t care who becomes the leader of the State or Federal Government, but once you have been elected to lead, you must lead responsibly and not waste our time with bringing up issues after issues but no concrete improvement for the Rakyat.
SB4S,
Good books…, was just atrail, forget it.
Good for you, you claim BN opted for a Experience guy like you…in town… but the talk among all around this nation.. I mean the majority….., is that the Judiciary was fixed…..on this case.
On your para three, yes..KSN should have the courtesy to discuss the appointment of SS with the MB.
On this para…., you should look at what you wrote in para three…, but writing in this blog about 3rd class LLB obtain by Karpal and AG…is uncall for.
So all the while we had a AG….with no class…., but a Yes men to UMNO/BN. You sound like that.
On the others….I buy into your comments and proposals for now…, there seem to be some logic….., but I wait for Prof Bari to come out with something more conclusive.
Cheers Bro….., don’t feel bad if I at times go name calling…., just trying to get others to get use to some sensitive name calling.
When melayu be they sultan or from umno , practise islam only by name. That’s what you get. They become FASIK, just as Allah describe them to be.
I wonder how much beatings that the Monarchy can take before it finally dawn on them.
I was watching a movie a couple of hours ago where one scene showed a fierce dog and the drug dealer beat it up so that it will listen to his every command and won’t dare disobey.
How sad!
it is sad that people more so those in power do not respect the people’s choice in govt. they are all playing double standards and expect the people to be either stupid, blind or assume that what they do is absolute truth that people will not question. They also fail to see they have set precedents like Perak where it will come back to bite them when the chips are not on their side.
anyway happy new year doc
If the Sultan can swear in the state secretary, he too can swear himself in as Mentri Besar. If the SS can hold the position after being sworn in by the Sultan, who dares to question the Sultan calling himself Mentri Besar also.
Think of Sultan of Brunei…..You know what I mean…..Anyway, Brunei Sultan rejected to join Malaysia
Good work Najib does?? Which Najib, you mean the taxi driver or the lorry driver !! If you are talking about the PM Najib, then my dr friend you have been taken in…I think you have lost your way…along the way..
You blame so much on Pakatan when they don’t even have any powers but yoy say that you commend BN for …Tell me what it is…Tq
“taxi driver or lorry driver?” this is a good one, bro.
hahaha
Abdullah
Let us agree to disagree.
In times of crisis, we the lesser rakyat of selangor should be given a chance to say our choice, but we are also being treated like the ipoh folks….DIAM!
lee,
Thats your choice to make…, nobody is asking you to diam…, so go get your war drums and start beating them.
The choice is always with the rakyaat…., forget of some useless lawyers view…., even if they are suppose to be eagles….., these eagles only have eyes on money…$$$.
still vote for BN..even your hang your black banner for Perak fiasco??
Did I say I will vote for BN?
As MB, Khalid must not allow them to bully your elected state govt and take whoever to court even though the verdict is a foregone conclusion. Let the voters in Selangor know the real story and how vicious those goons behave in order to steal power and wealth from the rakyat. The majority voted for you and as the MB it is your duty to protect us from those lanun. Lawan tetap Lawan! Kami tetap di sisi mu.
Ronald,
As much as I respect PR…., DSAI messed it up so much we should forget about the phrase ” Lawan tetap Lawan ”
Just lets just talk about Keadilan untuk Rakyaat Umum.
DSAI’s time is over and out….., time to harp on the youngsters….like Nurul.
Najib is an actor. Only the naive will believe him. He is beholden to rascist UMNO elitists and (deleted by admin)
anak rakyat,
Just before Opersai Lalang …..this guy Najib lead a rally of UMNO youths in TPCA Stadium in KL against the Chinese….., most would have forgotten.
Then that night a …so call Adam did a Rambo in Chow Kit…, and it’s history..?
Ops. Lalang…..128 or so people detain.?
Can it happen now..? why not..? They can always twist and turn.
But we must be steadfast..!
Boycott this “abuse” (original word change by admin) Rakyat’s constitutional rights by the despicable act of the sultan. He shows no respect for the State constitutions and the rakyat. Why should the Rakyat reciprocate? (original words remove by admin)
anak rakyaat,
Don’t worry……not only is the rakyaat watching…, ” God is also Watching ” .
Pandai..pandai buat helah atau main helah satu hari makan tuan juga.
The monarch is just a tool to be used by the BN politicians to advance their agenda. If you guys still remember how Dr M used the BN controlled media to humiliate the monarch when he planned to amend the constitutional power of them?
Wake up people. Do you still think those enjoying comfortable lives inside the palace have the people’s interest in their mind? (statement form change to question by admin)
i have totaly lost respect on the sultan. he should guard the interest of the selangor people and not be a puppet of BN. Tan Sri Khalid pls save our Selangor. I dont want theives to rule our state
Whatever actions that the Sultans have made or will make have serious repercussions in the future. The people and history cannot and will not forget. The Sultans will do well to remember that they are now constitutional rulers and not absolute rulers like in bygone days. The Parliament (meaning the people) is in control, not the Sultans. Everyone will have their day in the sun or fifteen minutes of fame, and one day, as sure as the Earth goes round the Sun, BN will no longer be in control. What then will the Sultans do?
sleek,
If only the rulers subscribe to this understanding…, they would not be so naive…..It looks so…., but who to blame but themself.
Let them decide on their own destiny….., I think they are somewhat prepared….
The rakyaat should just stick to their own game plans…., I mean PRU 13.
I like your last sentence. Ballsy, doctor. Salute!
Essentially it defines what most of us feel about this whole shenanigan. The palace is being used to slap the other half of the rakyat.
Najib you can just simply forget about Talent Corporation and Tenth Malaysia Plan and say goodbye to more foreign investment as well as Vision 2020 of a high-income developed nation.
Don’t waste time and money to set up all these plans.
Millions in overseas are reading and watching the latest SS developments!!
Yes, UMNO and Palace might win but looking the big picture and long term, a big loss to Malaysia.
Millions of Malaysian will form their opinions on Royalty!!
Another Sultan is trying to USURP the LEGITMATE DUTY of the MB with the CONNIVANCE of UMNO.
Let hope the TOP Leadership of PR is able to block this ILLEGAL Move.
Pls Khalid for the sake of the people dont allow Khusrin to enter the SUK!
If the Royalty is above politics, then clearly they must not be seen interfering in state government administrative processes and procedures.
HRH should clearly have taken legal counsel or is the process being hijacked by UMNO appointed sycophants in the Palace?
Among many financial debacles, the Rakyat have already taken note of the huge billion dollar contracts awarded by Roaemajib to Gamuda and the alleged involvement of commission and/or profit taking members of the Royalty in the stalled and delayed/ cost inflated $500 million Shah Alam hospital and the $800 million (projected to hit $1.2 billion with full fit-out cost) Jalan Duta palace (despite a $400 million new palace having already been built in Putrajaya).
After Perak, the Royalty have lost much respect and loyalty and if the appointment of the new State Secretary goes ahead in Selangor without the MB’s consent, then the Royalty will only have themselves to blame for all the criticism and muck-raking they will surely be subjected to!
dpp
we are all of 1 Race, the Human Race
My friend,
The state secretary is appointed based on the advice of MB. Simply can’t faham why some people don’t understand simple terms….
donplaypuks,
All the royalties in Malaysia are involve in Mega projects, so how can they be non partisan..?
They have allowed UMNO to compile volumes in dossier of their misgivings.and weakness.
Now they tread a thin line….., for their own follies…., but sad to say they walk into it ..I mean the TRAP.
Now we already see a backlash from the rakyaat…, its only the begining.
Doc,
What do you mean by encouraging His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor to stand for election in any constituency His Royal Highness chooses ?
His Royal Highness is above politics and should stay as such !
We need to respect the royalty just as we need to respect of our parents in whatever situation. Otherwise it will led to anarchy.
The problem lies with politicians. BN leaders are quick, using technicalities to go for the kill but alas PR leaders are slow , always re-active.
But all is not lost. The rakyat have always the last shot but again the question is whether they know how to vote wisely ? In the end, the people reap what the people sow !
AK,
Agree 300 % !
AK
I have rephrased my last line for better clarity
“His Royal Highness is above politics and should stay as such” – Yes, they should but are they???
“We need to respect the royalty just as we need to respect of our parents…” – any reasons why? My parents gave birth and raise me. What has the Royals done that deserve a respect equivalent to my parents??? If these things go on, my vote is for … (deleted by moderator)!
“The problem lies with politicians.” – I don’t think this is entirely true. Yes, BN make use of them BUT this only happens because the royals allow them.
I know respect is to be earned not acquired . But is it not good to be humble rather than arrogant and respect others as we respect our elders, teachers and parents?
Abang AK,
Happy New Year to you and your family…, you said it right …..you reap what you sow….., so kalau Bodoh sambong rakyaat……, terimalah padahnya.
i am truly and well disgusted by such interference by the palace (built with MY tax money!)…How can a CEO function when his planted COO cannot be trusted? It is not rocket science to see whats happening and will happen.
The raja raja melayu are screwing their own race.
Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR and thank you Doc for a good read in 2010.
sunshine fleet, good doc. sunshine fleet, good doc.
tak faham.. is this what you mean?
http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/malaysia/article/sunshine-fleet-successfully-blocks-payment-to-sub-contractor/
UMNO/BN will never learn. All they want is to be in power, even at the extend of using the palace for that purpose. Selangor is a gem state. The Syabas issue is making them really mad at Khalid. Just imagine if Khalid manage to buy over Syabas, UMNO will be at the loosing end,not only in terms of money but votes. So before that happens, overthrow the Selangor PR government at all cost before the next GE.
As for now, nothing else can be done, but Khalid got to act smart, play their game and see what happens next….
How true!
That’s why we need to continue to push for the 2 party system to be a reality for the check and balance.
I did not share your opinion that Najib has done any good work, so far only flip-flop policies that I saw. The so called “good works” are all PR works that seems to ome out from APCO.
eg. The most recent case of “visit to Catholic Church”, he dare not even say a word to show his stand on the issue.
Vince,
Najib definitely did not do a good job. Only Najib seems to be trying to do a good job. Anyway, in politics, perception matter
Just like Sir Humphery says….The purpose of having nuclear bombs so as to convince Britain that Britain defendable from the Russians. Russians knew Britain is not defendable…..hahahaha
By the way, I never see civil servants especially Top office including chief secretary as stooges for UMNO. More of partners…..Perhaps, the men behind the throne
In fact, the first thing Pakatan should do is to make the top civil servants accountable
