1. My conversation with a retired Air Force General about the missing F5E jet engine led to me to an interesting story. I was intrigue when he cajole told me that there is nothing to be shocked about a missing engine when an entire fleet of aircraft went missing from the TUDM inventory. Entire fleet of aircraft! What was he talking about? I thought he was kidding and making his usual jokes about aircraft missing from the radar screen but when he said that it was missing from the TUDM inventory that led me to place few more calls.
2. It appears that via a special G to G arrangement, the Malaysian government bought 80 A4 Skyhawks from the USAF in the 80’s. It was delivered to us at the beginning of 1984. These are working aircraft with plenty of mileage to go. Thirty five aircraft was brought back to Malaysia and was used in the service. A few dropped from the sky, one went missing over South China Sea (Lt. Wahi) and the rest was used until it could not be used again. Some became spare parts. The balance (45 jets) was left in the California dessert parked under the scorching sun. It was never brought back.
3. The 45 aircraft that was left in the Californian dessert was never brought back. It was place under the management of a company in the US. This company ends paying the parking chargers for years. Sometime between the years 2000 to 2003, RMAF decided to take back the aircraft and sell them off. Our TUDM officers from KL were sent to look for the aircraft in the dessert. They found it but the shocking part is that they no longer legally own the aircrafts.
4. As it turns out, the paperwork involving the purchase went missing and the Air Force were not able to show proof of ownership. Therefore they could not take out the Skyhawks from the open air parking area. The haggling and tussle over the ownership continued for several years until it became clear that the aircraft ownership cannot be ascertained. The Malaysian government paid for it but did not kept the receipt.
5. I remember the matter was raised in parliament several years back and unverified reports indicates that the aircraft was sold to an American company for pittance. Maybe our MP’s should revisit this matter again. My friend was right when he said entire fleet of 45 aircraft disappeared from TUDM Inventory. In actual fact it was not even recorded in the TUDM inventory. Since it did not go into our books despite paying for it and having no receipt to show proof of payment, then no aircraft actually went missing. The only thing missing is the money for the 55 aircraft!
6. Coming back to the missing RM50 mill engine which is fixed on a USD 2 mill aircraft, I am perplex to read in the papers today that a Brigadier General and his 40 man was asked to leave service early. (Sounds like Ali Baba and the 40 thieves). They was not charged. There was no court martial. It appears the General and several others lose their pension but upon appeals got it back. What the heck is wrong with the system? No one even realized that the General was asked to leave until the story came to limelight in today’s news. I am sure we all can predict on why the story was released to the MSM today. It wanted to show that the government did something.
7. I am not sure whether taking administrative action is sufficient in this case. We are talking about CBT. We are talking about a missing RM50 mill jet engine that was supposed to be fitted on a USD 2 mill aircraft. Knowing the Malaysian way of wanting to settle problems, it was managed quietly the wrong way. In the meantime, everyone had forgot about the 55 aircraft that Malaysian Government paid but not admitted into TUDM inventory. Maybe they went into the army or navy inventory. Who knows mixed up can happen.

Dear Dr. Amrit Sekhon
1)
May 13 never transpired due to the factor of, socio-economic uneven distribution of wealth. It happened because alliance (Now BN), lost heavily in the Election that year. It was a minor tsunami, as it happened in March 08. Only this time it is bigger.
- the uneven distribution of wealth was a key factor that enable May 13 to occur. If all Malaysians then were well off or comfortable enough, the riot would not hve occured as people would prefer to make a living rather than feeling angry enough to start looting, buring and killing
- I agree that the GE sat back (Alliance still won the overall GE) would have been a key factor in triggering the reaction on that fateful day
2)
The original NEP was eradication of poverty irrespective of race and religion.
- agree, that was the official reason
3)
In the 9th Malaysian Plan, the main flaw was the implementation of wordings in the plan, which were “etnic income disparities”. The danger word is who is to be termed as “ethinic” and followed by the mess in the interpretation of modules by Biro Tata Negara.
- read any economic booking and you would know that income disparity is not dependant on race but opportunities, education, political environment, existance of natural resources, geographical locations etc….
- I agree with you, attributing income disparity to race factor alone is unheard of outside Malaysia and is a flawed argument
You can call anything by any name, but if the interest of implementation in not noble, non whatsoever an objective will ever be acheived.
- I did not start the name calling, I am merely pointing out how the policy crafters attempted to market them
- I think the same way as you as to how the nonsense turn out as it is today
Lee WT & Dr Amridt,
,,,There were serious Racial riots in Kuala Lumpur in particular in May 1969, in which unfortunately hundreds of innocent people from all sides of society were killed or injured, but then since, the 3 x main so called malaysian communities have worked pretty hard to reduce social inequities plus racial tensions which were fueled by bloody opportunists, taken advantage of by the communist party of Malaya, gangsters/thugs and indeed instigated by racist politicians of the worst order from all parties.
,,,YES indeed,,,it happened too, partly because Alliance, lost in the Election that year !.
not quite sure if PKM is involved in this. Chin Peng in his memoir mentioned that he was surprise with the riot (if you choose to believe him)
from a strategic point of view, the May 13 racial riot would not fit into PKM’s plan to win their cause and there were no follow up propognda on their part such as “ya, elections are bad for the country” blah blah blah those kinda bullshit
As capt rightly point out, all Malaysians worked hard at reducing the gap so why should Malaysians continued to be be frightened and misled by those opportunist?
We should shout back “this is our beloved and eaceful country, stop dividing it and cause ill feelings or worse”
Malaysia is lucky, we do not have experienc elike Rwanda Serbia Herzagovina etc…and these idiots seems happy to push the countries towards that….please shut up and make yourselves constructive!
Capt & lee wee tak,
Tuanku was a very ‘fair and honest Royalty, without any notion of racialism’ in his mind. His family has Hindu/Bhuddhist decendancy. He strongly believed on merits.
In 1970, he had to relinquish his Prime Ministership at any cost because, it will not be honourable by virtue of his Royal status, to bow down to his nephew(Sultan of Kedah) when Sultan ascends the Agongship.
UMNO leaders were fully aware of this but, the policies drafted by Tuanku Abdul Rahman(TAR), were too strong to be changed due to the Royal Terms, of its contents.
The next PM was going to be a non – royalty and so were the future UMNO members.
The news of TAR (1970) going off was imminent in the pipe line and the election was a method or means, by which the people decided to elect a strong opposition(1969). Not to forget, we had lost Lee Kuan Yew, as a Prominent Leader from the parliment in 1964 and the PAP party.
So, who are we left with than, Gerakan, DAP, Party Rakyat, PPP as our reliable opposition to stand for the citizens rights.
When in 69, Penang fell to Gerakan, Alliance in Selangor also lost many seats, as well as Perak almost going to opposition,, Tun Abdul Razak and Datuk Harun played their preplanned role. The British advisors to the Malaysian Government had predicted, a possible rise in opposition seats in 1969 Parliament Elections. UMNO prepared the Riot Gangsters and gave the order at 7 pm on May 13 1969. I was right in the middle of Circular Road (Tun Abdul Razak) and watching right infront of my eyes.
THE REST IS HISTORY, THE ABOVE ARE WHAT YOU DON’T GET IN THE, AS MALAYSIANS SAY, THEIR NEWSPAPERS(MSM).
O.K Guys if you don’t mind, my take ….
We are in the same boat-lah,, O.K.-lah.
,,,Just thinking out loud as to Why and Where and When events happened and What we all have to be aware of from PAST, PRESENT and hopefully for the FUTURE of our beloved country, beautiful & wonderful Malaysia !.
,,,By nature, I seek clarity first b4 we would move forward together to find possible solution, as such pls read on if you are interested-lah,,,,,,,,,,!!
,,,Mind you, this world has NEVER been at peace since time memorial. Too many great wars have indeed shaken nations and perhaps some lesser conflicts that have afflicted the world at large have indeed sometimes subsided BUT again and again flared up with MONSTROUS conflagration….Wars have never ceased ever yaa !!. Unfortunately bitter animosities between countries still persist and blindly or cunningly or silently frantically or even unknowly preparing for new war !!.
,,,More than 40 odd countries presently in the world are in the unshaking grip of war, rebellion, foreign infiltation, terrorism or endemic banditry. Great many are just holding on or just maintaining a fragile peace that could/would shatter at any moment in time. Timing is the only factor holding things together or perhaps apart !.
,,,The bloodiest of the most recent conflicts on the civilian population must be the foreign infiltation in Iraq, now followed closely in Alghanistan, next in line Pakistan. (Lets just skip the Middle East for a break !!….never ending human tragedy) So far NOTHING decisive been accomplished, at enormous cost for almost NOTHING. Both the political or military solutions are not working and problems remain unsolved, in fact increasing by the hour. NIL lessons learnt to-date from past experience – rather frustrating plus unfortunate but that’s the reality in humanity….perhaps even God forbids peace for human beings ?….only God knows !.
,,,Mind you, there have been at least 90 wars since 1945 only if you care to count. Resulting in the deaths of between 20 to 40 million people according to UN Count alone, guess in reality the numbers can be anywhere higher ?. Tens of millions been driven from their dear homes and homeland. Apparently there are well over 40 millions more refugees in the world today at this very moment in time !. The UN again estimated that about 20 millions of internal refugees in foreign lands and about 20 millions of internal refugees – that is people having to fled their homes to escape danger or even death and in some cases extreme poverty just for basic survival needs.
,,,YET, again most UNFORTUNATELY from data gathered, most of the conflicts in the world today are between PEOPLE and RACES as compared between nations and even fewer are ideological. If anything, the world has become more violent, indeed with each succeeding decade since World War 2 onwards until today in real time.
,,,HUMANITY is still adapting to the DISAPPEARANCE of the empires that kept the so called peace before the Second World War – a tranquility imposed at the point of a bayonet, intended to prevent the EXPLOITATION of brown, black and yellow people by white man !!. As so being claimed by the then master race or victors of other nations. Such were the glories of victory to satisfy one’s ego or to justify one’s misdeeds, in actual fact an act of piracy, seconded by greed to rob, plunder the world for their selfish hidden agenda.
,,,The eventual decline of the empires was inevitable !. It just only required a small or tiny class of people in any of these colony to ask itself, as to WHY it should be governed by foreigners, and that the advance of education that produced that challenging class everywhere. An educated class can act as an hazard at the right time and place, anytime, anywhere too. (Should I remind the POWERS in high offices here that we now have great numbers of such class too ?.)
,,,Wars between nations are generally caused by territorial disputes, ideological rivalry, a strong lust for conquest by their swell headed leaders, and occasionally by just plain stupidity plus diplomatic imcompetence by those in position. There have been indeed wars of all these kinds since the Second World War but unfortunately the threat of more hangs over a good part of the globe today. Indeed, again humanity has not changed its ways in the art of wars and killings.
,,,FORTUNATELY as for ideological war, they have very much diminished in recent years. What changed is the new term called “TERRORISM” has taken centre stage and a new role in war.
Terrorism is indeed the cancer of our modern world using primitive methods to instill fear to everyone. No state is immune to it. Similarly like cancer, unless properly treated drastically, its growth is inexorable, until it poison and engulfs the whole society on which it feeds and drags it together to final destruction. “Terrorism is said to be the deliberate and systematic murder, maiming and mancing of the innocent to inspire fear for political ends”. The usual apologia for terrorism is that “one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter”, which is perfectly true and perfectly irrelevant ; I would say, “MURDER is not justified by sticking a different label on it yaa !!”
,,,The political justification – the claim that the end justiflies the means – is a debate crucial for fighting terrorism, and unfortunately it has not been resolved as yet to-date.
,,,Also there are many differences between terrorist groups. Some seek out what they would consider as “enemy targets”, usually military/police. A few take great pains to avoid killing innocent people but others deliberately choose civilians as their primary targets. By all counts, they are all terrorists, however many might misconstrue the situation. The very word terrorist itself comes from “TERROR” – shall I need to further explain ?. (o.k. lets dig deeper into these new hazards or what some calls war against terrorism b4 it spread its wings into our society at large).
,,,There are three basic broad bands or categories (in fact more so-lah) of independent terrorist movements in the world as it is ; those inspired by Political fervour or even Fascistism movements; those inspired by Nationalism or Ethnic grivances and finally those inspired by Religion or in most case so identified or called/termed by the existing western culture, i.e. Islamic Jihadist. Maybe, If i can add the fourth category is terrorism directed/supported by Governments in the latest term it justifies itself as WAR AGAINST TERRORISM by invading other nation or state !. Geeee.
AND finally but not the end as yet, a new treat from individual lunatics or self proclaimed revolutionist and they are by far worse than the other types of terrorists as mentioned above. A growing numbers, if you care to read some of their crazy/lunatic comments in the internet nowadays. The authorities should rightfully vet them and sent them for proper medical treatment for their own good as well for sane reading peace for the rest of us. !!.
,,,O.K.-lah, lets just get back into our country’s brief and short history within the last century only. The last traces of the communist insurgency warfare sputtered along the jungles at the Thai/Malaysian border area or frontier and the final communist party signing of a treaty just in 1989 to end their bloody arm struggle with the Malaysian government. The “Confrontation” with Indonesia that subsided, very much ended before it really started into a full blown war, however both countries are now allied in ASEAN. There were serious Racial riots in Kuala Lumpur in particular in May 1969, in which unfortunately hundreds of innocent people from all sides of society were killed or injured, but then the 3 main so called malaysian communities have worked pretty hard to reduce social inequities plus racial tensions which were fueled by opportunists, taken advantage of by the communist party of Malaya, gangsters/thugs and indeed by racist politicians of the worst order. Also, not to forget that during the Malayan emergency period that the Dayaks Trackers from Sarawak/Borneo then helped to battle the communist insurgency with the British forces in peninsula Malaya. (Thanks brothers !.)
,,,FORTUNATELY we all Malaysian have been notably more successful than for example the people of Sri Lanker with their on-going war with the Tamil Tigers. At this moment in time, Malaysia is still in a bastion of stability and that ethnic harmony in a dangerous world….but will it last forever ?. Malaysia has a special role in an account of comtemporary conflicts. The only country in the world to withstand or defeat an communist insurgency. Indeed the Malaysian experience is truely unique. The essential or main difference with the Malaysian experience was that the majority of the Chinese did not actively support the communist terrorists and were just trying their level best to survive in their new adopted land and were proactively separated from them terrorists in their “New Villages”, while the majority of the population Malays, actively opposed the communists as anti-Islamic. Generally the Malays were the bulk of the military personnel plus in the Police or as government servants, they formed the “Home Guards” and defended their villages/kampungs and with help from the Dayak Trackers plus the British Forces drove the communists by the time of Independence, the communist terrorists were driven across the border into Southern Thailand as their safe heaven. Ooh !!.. The Punjabs were in the special police forces brought in by the British to take care of Malaya and Borneo security too. The majority of the communist terrorists were generally Chinese but there were also Malays too in their party’s armed struggle which unfortunately until today many of our local Malaysian are not really fully aware of or just in the state of denial. To be fair and honest, the Malaysian government has always treated the various Separatists movement in Southern Thailand and closer to Sabah, the Phillippine separatist, more so bandit elements very cautiously and kept an arm length away from direct involvement, in fact playing a “Moderator” role as and when requested to do so. Rumours have it that certain politicians then, were directly involved but apparently it was on a private agenda that the Malaysian government would like not to get involved with or perhaps kept an blind eye on ?. Politics being politics, I have much reasons not to trust any of them as such would remain apolitical.
,,,As in many anti-terrorist campaigns, the Malaysian Armed Forces and Police are faced with a real dilemma, in-order to combat terrorism effectively and “restore law and order”, they have to resort to measures in winning “Hearts and Minds” of the local people plus the chinese workers of the plantations and tin mines into “new villages”. All the squatters along the jungle fringes plus plantations/mines provided the “SEA” in which the CTs “FISH” would/could swim un-noticed and by relocating them into new villages, securely under government control would eventually deplete the waters for the fishes. Indeed, technically very sound manner or smart strategy to starve off the enemy and keep their supply chain away since in the CTs warfare, its the hidden enemy which makes it very difficult to war on. The Malayan Emergency began in 1948, when the communist terrorists first victims were the European plantation managers and which later spread to government posts, police and military patrols in the rubber plantations and mining areas. In actual fact, it was really the “Hearts and Minds” that won the fight against the communist terrorists. It was never the the bullets or weapons that killed the spirit of the enemy, they were indeed a dedicated bunch of characters whom believed in their struggle and were also willing to sacrifice their freedom and life in the jungle where food and shelter plus medical facilities are on bare survival state at most. Unfortunately there were some that were conned into their fruitless struggle started off with the chinese fighting against the Japanese due to the continuation of animosities stirred up by the Japanese in main land China and after which after the Second World War, the Communist Party was banned by the British and Malayan Government as a political party. Before which, the British were actually arming/training these jungle fighters against the Japanese forces as their common enemy !. The Japanese occupying forces generally treated the Malay Royal families with some reservation/respect plus also engaged some of the local Malays administratively but treated the others bloody unfairly, not that the Malays faired better though.
,,,Very similar to terrorism but not so correct is the act of PIRACY !. Again its showing its ugly head in the Gulf of Aden plus not so frequently nowadays in the Straits of Malacca and South China Seas after the Tsunami in 2004 since the pirates lost most of their boats to mother nature herself !.
,,,HUMANITY’s capacity for hartred/violence/murder/killings, not really plots of foreigners, will still ensure that the blood of the innocents will continue to flow. Hatred is not new !!.Hatred can be manifested in many different ways/means and many different places too.
,,,To all the POWERS ABOVE in name of politics/politicians, may I remind you guys that when the ordinary but educated citizens suddenly realised that they do not have to put up with it anymore, and that the government discovers that it no longer has the nerve and authority to impose it will. We might just end up with some major changes/reforms for better or for worse with or without the government direct control and it can be bloody dangerous if not realised or corrected immediately.
,,,Domestic political oppression cannot be maintained indefinitely……even the Soviet Union’s collapse is perhaps inevitable just like the British Empire before it !!.
I would like to rest my case yaa,,,,,,thanks for reading, am now able to put to rest this subject issue and hope that the people of our beautiful country, Malaysia will again stand united and work together for the future generation and STOP this stupid political game of self interest and selfishness b4 its too late. The individual self too has a role to play in fairness, determination, perseverance and single-minded pursuit combined with focus, job-loving, spiritual flow, dedication, industriousness and the going for the extra miles.
,,,A life based on good attitude, discipline, religion, morals and righteousness is the basic foundation for love, peace, grace, gratitude, contentment, fulfilment, joy and lasting success.
,,,Finally, VALUES are equally commanding, cos what you value is what you think about, what you think about is what you bloody become !! ……..yaa my brothers/sisters malaysian, we are in the same bloody boat-lah….same team same crew ,,,,,Yeop Oii !!!!!!. and am the PirateKing Yoohohoo !!….don’t ever forget that hehehe ..well I might sound like a Preacher at times too !…Holy Shit !!.
,,,Just Relax be Cool…..yaa-lah I need a break too. Ha.Ha.Ha.
Dear Capt,
Same boat kot….., I was only in Standard Five…., but so well said……but individuals can have their own interpretations….so just let it be..
Coming to your write up, boss….you are flawless and the stamina…..macam twelve years old like when we use to play ” Police & Thief ”
Capt,….. it will take time to change course…., due to some of our past leaders….., but will have to soldier on.
The stake is not ours….., neighter is the price….., the end stake is….., the “WELL BEIGN OF OUR FUTURE GENERATION ” ……, by then we will not be around…., but we will still leave the stripes….., for setting it right.
balasi,
,,,you are back from KT ?. Bro. my 12 yrs old kid !!, take again….
,,,The reality of my simple island life and living in Malaysia i.e. from the color blind eyes of an apolitical guy plus a firm believer of that all religions do spreads kindness, forgiveness and peace, which the world needs badly. And not naive, to be aware that politically-made laws and wishes can occasionally turn society upside down as they have done so in history. Just again get the politics of our politicians out of the equation, just turn to God, Culture and Humanity for all perpetuators of wars and bloodshed have clearly turned their backs to God.
,,,Indeed now back to the subject issue you just raised/mentioned, Malaysia indeed is a melting pot of people from all walks of life, various races and origins. A “rojak” bunch if you don’t mind me saying i.e. “mixed salad”. Her population consists of an interesting mix of Malays, Chinese, Indians, Eurasian, Sikh, Iban, Kadazan, Dayaks i.e. all natives tribes combined together, Orang asli or Aborigines, groups of indigenous inhabitants in Malaysia and others of many other uncountable/unknown/yet un-name ethnic communities. !!.
,,,Despite of all of these plus melange of cultures and unique traditions, mutual respect and tolerance are the special qualities that bind all Malaysian together as one.
,,,These diversity of cultures in Malaysia is evident in the colourful spectrum of traditions, festivals and most interestingly cuisines for all to taste and enjoy. Where else on earth do people have a choice of chicken porridge, nasi lemak, or cornflakes for breakfast? Due to population density plus her historical background, Islam is the official religion, however, other religions are being practised freely. Malaysian from various races and cultural backgrounds practise Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Sikhism and other faiths. A belief in God makes society more wholesome. God’s teaching and grace makes the world a better place too.
,,,This multiracial population has given rise to many beautiful and charming places of worship. One can appreciate the beauty of the various Mosques, Buddhist and Taoist, Indian and Sikh temples, Thai wats and Churches of different denominations dotting the streets and country sites of Malaysia. It is not impossible to actually find within the same places where mosque, temples, church co-exist along the same street, if not even side by side too. Just stroll along such places at Jalan Masjid Kapitan Kling in Penang, Jalan Tokong in Malacca or Brickfields in Kuala Lumpur plus many locations in Ipoh.
,,,Indeed, with so many interesting cultures co-existing in harmony within her shores, Malaysia and Malaysian naturally boasts a myriad of festivals celebrated throughout the year. The major festivals are Aidilfitri (Eid-ur-Fitr), Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Christmas, Vasakhi, Gawai Dayak and Tadau Ka’amatan.
,,,Its during these colourful & wonderful festivals, Malaysians practice a special local concept called “open-house”, an occasion to receive well-wishes and much feasting plus merry-making, as everyone partakes in the gaiety of the occasion. Indeed, all Malaysians of all races, colours and religions join together in the festivities as almost as family members, if not more so.
,,,Such is the “cultures in harmony” in Malaysia and lets work on it to our strategic advantage plus for the future generation to enjoy life and living in Malaysia.
,,,Lets all Malaysian welcome 2010 with “heaven on earth spirit”…radiate the feeling of happiness and joy within you and transmit that into the Universe with all of your might.!! ………..SELAMAT TAHUN BARU…2010…
p.s. don’t be like Tiger that might even lose his stripes !!.
As regards to readyness of RMAF for protecting the nation against external threats, the statement from the General that RMAF is ever ready for the job might be not entirely true. Despite an earlier claim by the general that the sukhoi squadron shall be operational by mid 2010, it looks like the operational readyness is another 18-24 months away purely due to the slow pace of activities at the RMAF HQ. Now let the nation know how you plan to protect the nation when Sukhoi Squadron is not ready and MiG squadron is as good as grounded. Sir, dont try to mislead the country!!!
Yoo Pro.
,,,we have a squadron of ‘Badman’ covering the malaysian sky every nite, don’t you realise that ??…& quicky “Swiftlets” in the day time too,.i.e. from the 4 x Sqn. of genera Aerodramus, Hydrochous, Schoutedenapus and Collocalia.

Someone might like to verify the dates and the period and cite official sources, please!
Flying Toasters,
If we are talking about Skyhawk…., then it’s Abang Abu Bakar and TDMM.
If we talk about the missing engines then it’s DPM Najib / TBad & PM Najib.
So It’s the Rakyaat’s call. Let’s not hit around the bush.
Let’s call a spade a spade.

The Defence of the Nation is BIG business, just like it is in the US and most other nations, although often used offensively rather than defensively.
When commission on a dual submarine deal can reach RM500 million (with friends in the “right” places), it becomes really really BIG business, or rather massive corruption and grand scale theft disguised as big business.
That explains the rap on the knuckles for those stupid enough to get caught without having friends in the “right” places. With friends in the right places in Malaysia you can even get away with murder.
Massive corruption has become the Malaysian way of life without us even realising it, because a bare “majority” of the people who vote have accepted and even embraced it, while the real “silent” majority are guilty of keeping quiet and doing nothing about it because they think it doesn’t concern or affect them.
Until the silent majority wakes up and boots this massively corrupt government out of power, expect the looting to continue, not just in Defence, but also Education, Health, Public Works and other ministries whose role it is not to govern but misgovern.
We are one of the few nations in the world whose resources and citizens’ tax dollars pay such a high price for misgovernment, corruption and theft amongst many other woes.
Fat Mama rules!

Dear Wudan,
Are you a mole ( dress like a fox in sheep skin )….., just realise you are one…., hope I’m wrong.
But it looks like a coincidence that I cannot forget….,

RF-5E Tigereye
Northrop anticipated a worldwide market for between 100 and 150 RF-5E TigerEyes, but only a few were actually ordered. The first customer was Malaysia, which ordered two. Saudia Arabia bought ten. As a result, only 12 RF-5Es were built. Singapore converted eight of its own F-5Es to RF-5E configuration. The disappointing sales were partly a result of the cost of the RF-5E, which was 50 percent greater than that of a standard F-5E fighter.

Good research work..
I would agree with CSI that this may be a Red Herring. It seems that the Government coffer is running dry and they are pushing for GST. No Government in a sane mind would take their risk to implement such unpopular tax scheme, unless they are desperate and have no choice.
I am not sure about what investors have to say, by virtue of Khazanah disposing (or may dispose) many of their shares might be one indicator of liquidation. Otherwise, those in the know please enlighten.
kata kini S S Akal,,
Khazanah did not dispose any shares, it is a fallacy, called transfer of money from left pocket to right pocket. Khazanah to EPF (EPF board is controlled by MOF) and Khazanah is MOF’s investment arm.
SSAkaal
Thank you for the explanation. I think you are correct there.
kata kini,,
You ought to be shot dead, with a bow and arrow for saying “I think you are correct there”.
Hello!!!!! Its either I am correct or wrong,, which one of it suites your thought. hahahahah…………
No need to kill each other.. lets celebrate 2010 together
Dr. Ji,,
Still having the Punjab Blues,,,,,trying to assimilate to malaysian style,,,,,needs time,,,,,,, hah,,,ahh,,hahah.
Any….way what are friends for if,,,,,,,, not to …………… each other up,,,,,, to keep the element of friendship lightened.
Dr. Rafick,
What are the plan’s ….., for 1 Mil. , you have not responded…., email me .
Kata Kini,
Just admit the Old man Dr Amrit is right…., he his still having the hang over of Punjab….!
Too much of pure GHEE….., & something else.
Kata Kini,
Have to add…., Dr. Amrit is right……!
The money with us belongs to us, the money in the banks belongs to the banks, the money in the BNM belongs to UMNO..
If you start buying the 1 Malaysia Saham good luck….it is investment to allow the gormen to use the money to make themselves more money and repay all other Saham being issued before this..
This issuing of new saham all the time is a kelabu mata CERITA!
Think of what I say, do not act first!
They need your money desperately….they can always print more money at anytime…..it is just a game of numbers…..never a real value — as good as surat khabar lama!
The USA does this 24/7, year in & year out. This was never a secret! Day in & day out they print and send it all over the world – they print in BOLD ” IN GOD WE TRUST”!
Who can tell us how much money is their floating in this world?
IF ONE CANNOT BE CERTAIN OF THE ACTUAL NUMBERS, HOW CAN WE SAY IT IS BACKED BY SOLID GOLD VALUE?
How can you peg your dollar or ringgit for each gram or kilo of gold?
HOW MUCH GOLD DO WE HAVE ?
THE YANKEES OUT SMARTED ALL OF US IN THIS WORLD!
EVER WONDERED WHY ?
BECOS THEY SAY TRUST ONLY GOD AND NOT THE GOVT!
CSI,,
You got your facts right.
Difference is,,In the new world order after the 80s, we are not evaluating our strength of the a countries economy or monetary strength, with gold reserves anymore, but under a new system of Brent Wood Economics of Scale.
The economy of a country is now determined on the strength of trade, that is exports verses imports. Basically the amount of Dollars in your KITTY.
As u claimed, US could be/is printing lots of money ie 24/7, but its for safety net not forgetting US, has sold out Trillions of Dollars in bonds, to the world. These Trillions are/could be due for matuarity so, therefore by pumping/flooding the market with lots of money, it dilutes/devalues the US currency thus dropping the bonds value.
Therefore, should a country be due to collect its money from the matured bond, say amounting to 1 trillion USD, US federal reserves might say that presently the bond is devalued to 200,000,000.00 USD only. The rest is as good as your and my guess.

Dear Dr,
Didn’t notice your 1 liner whois ? at the bottom of comments. The Answer ….
It’s a company under the Satang Goup – Satang Jaya Sdn.Bhd with dealings with Mindef.
Happy probing…. and good luck.
Nite.
and also the Satang group is listed in the Stock market stock code 7212 …
price languishing around 25 sen !!
That indicate something ???
Drop in again tomorrow, bye.
Dear dear dear All,
O.K. guys, pick your choice !!??…its about time, we indeed see proper justice in our country yaa…!!.
… To hang them for “TREASON ” using – A. Common Law or B. To chop their head off using Islamic Law??. Since PM,PDRM and PAT have all agreed on it too that the offence fall under treason.
,,,Prime Minister Najib Razak Monday vowed there would be no cover-up in the investigation.
,,,Police have arrested four individuals, including the buyer, the seller and airforce personnel who assisted in stealing the engine.
,,,Armed forces chief Azizan Ariffin said the theft was only the “tip of the iceberg” after an audit revealed millions of ringgit worth of equipment was missing, the New Straits Times reported. Azizan said those found guilty of stealing and selling the engines should be charged with treason.
“Their act jeopardises national security. They are traitors and should be punished for treason,” he said.
A. In Malaysia, it is treason to commit offences against the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s person, waging, attempting to wage war or abetting the waging of war against the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, a Ruler or Yang di-Pertua Negeri. All these offences are punishable by hanging, which derives from the English treason acts (a former British colony, Malaysia’s legal system is based on English common law).
B. According to the Quran the prescribed punishment ranged from imprisonment to the severing of limbs and the death penalty depending on the severity of the crime, however even in cases of treason the repentance of a person would have to be taken into account. Many Islamic theologians believe that the death penalty is acceptable punishment for treason and other “mischief in the land”.
YES,,,,,I rather go for the hanging, less bloody I guess ?.
CHOP THE HEAD OFF!
A GOOD AND EFFECTIVE DETERRENT FACTOR FOR THE WOULD BE FUTURE CRIMINAL OF BOLEH LAND!
CSI,
,,,so you are a bloody meat eater like me !! hahaha.
,,,will let the good dr to dig it out from the General o.k. ?.
CSI,
,,,are you dead sure for option B ?. once precedenced!! i.e. Having a precedent; authorized or sanctioned by an example of a like kind. — we would find lots of headless politicians and towkeys plus limbless individuals all over the streets.
,,,sudah potong ke-belum ?. serious business here..cos 69 – 96% of the rakyat might be guilty of something of its kind. Both the ‘givers and takers’ will be exposed !.
,,,Malaysia tak Boleh then…full of handicaps yoo !?.
,,,imagine traffic police without arms, how to control ?.
Capt LONGHOUSE ..tell us more about the SKYHAWKS that went “MIA” !!!!
Or rather bought and sold but never used?
Bought but never owned it!
Never bought anything but money spent!
BOUGHT but never declared!
NEVER BOUGHT NEVER SOLD!
THE ANSWER COULD BE ONE OF THE ABOVE… so please enlighten us all !
Hello guys,
Noticed something so far ???
How come not a single statement from the BN political parties on this matter of National interest, especially Ummm No ??
And strangely, the No.2 is “Missing” from all this action …. Moo ooo !!
So clever one, ahh… these people !!!
Wonder why so senyap…….???
MY TAKE !
THIS IS A RED HERRING
THERE ARE BIGGER ISSUES SUCH AS:
1. DSAI TRIAL
2. TBH – INQUEST
3. PKFZ – INQUEST
4. ADIK PM – ALTANTUYAH C4ED
5. MCA FIASCO
6. PR – GAINING MORE SUPPORT
7. ROSMAH’s 600K CASH TRANSFER
8. MB N9 – 10 MILLION TRANSFER TO UK
9. BALA’s CHALLENGE
10. RPK – FOUND IN LONDON?
WE ACTUALLY HAVE MANY MANY MORE…JUST NAMING 10 TOP ONES…
Folks take a guess who stand to gain if this case hits the fan…who will become a victim ? Who gets a bad name? who is going to be beheaded? who will take the fall, who is the actual scape goat!
Is the General going to jail or just asked to retired with full pension! What kind of a deal is this? Why not jailed, without pension, or maybe he knows a lot of other shit which he can reveal if he is jailed,, in an open court, he can say things we do not know, which others desperate enough to want it to be sealed and tightly shut – THE BIGGER CAN OF WORMS !
Should think for a moment why ONLY now!
If they were afraid of the elections in 2007…they could have just shut their mouths and close the case and just fire all those involved after all, the evidence was there all along…nobody would have known about it. At least the general public is concerned!
Only the guys in uniform would know about it!
SMELLY SMELLY – INDEED VERY SMELLY !
CSI,
Your name said it all,……we don’t have to add salt to water……, untill it becomes saturated…., pekat….., macam lendir.
yes agree that this could be to divert attention but current times, nothing can be buried cos it is all there. People memories can be bad but the damn internet brings it all back more so next GE. yes guys do not forget about all the other things listed by CSI!!!! the engine is small peanuts compared to PKFZ, Lingam etc
Another matter which needs urgent attention is the readyness of the RMAF hardware. Especially the integration of the various hardware within an aircraft and periodical maintanance and calibration. If the systems such as avionics, EW suite are not calibrated and maintained according to a strict maintanance schedule, they will definitely faill to work when needed. Hope PTU / TPTU/Suqadron commandant shall look into this issue.
The younger generation of majors and captains of RMAF are mostly professional to the core except for the rotten few who are always there to bring shame to the forces. The bigger issue is the lack of clear direction and weak leadership and this is due to the lack of a work culture which necessitates at least 6 hrs/ day on official duty and not playing golf on every day. If PAT could put a ban on Golfing on working days, that would be the best thing to happen to Malayian Armed Forces.
it’s not bout how much the engine cost …..
the problem here is bout our national security!!
the Truth,
You just nailed the coffin……, why is ATM boss talking about security not compromise….., he must be talking through his nose.
Just shows the pedigree we have….., so bless us GOD.
they worry not about national security, they rather make up enemies that are not there internally like creating animosity among races in Malaysia so that they can be in power. They care shit about national security as long as they are making the money like selling sand overseas.
where is DPM?
Alamak, Goodness gracious, Wah Lau, eh !
Now its 2 engines missing!!.. and Not 1 as reported earlier.
Can the govt come clean and say exactly what are really missing ?
How big is iceberg below the water level?
Read the latest online – Star and NST.
http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/articles/20091222094735/Article/index_html
Looks like the private contractor appointed to transport the engines from BWorth to KL …. Not familiar with the route and decided to head for port instead ?
Like mentioned earlier, slowly but surely, the truth cannot be hidden for long.
Maybe, tomorrow will see a different version.. who knows , eh ?
Ghostbuster,
I assume they didn’t check to see if their two balls were still around……, if YES! Then Bingo.
MALAYSIA BOLEH! – How the so called “Father of Modernisation” a.k.a “Father Of All Corruption” has done a marvelous JOB IN HOOD WINKING all Malaysian. His speciality…… divide & rule, plundering, deception and best of all enriching his entire household.
Without the help of all dump, stupid, greedy Amno, MCA, MIC & others. We would not be what we are today.
That “Malalee” screwed all of us big time. Malaysian has been duped, Malaysian has been fooled!
What we are seeing now is the fruit of corruption that was sown 26 years ago. No wonder our beloved Tuanku was so against him.
We are paying a high price for our mistakes. As for the PKFZ. I can guarantee you that O.C Phang wil go missing… Case close because of missing suspect. This is worst than Myannmar! No different from Zimbawee.
It’s time to change! Do not trust the current Pirates…. ruining our beloved country. Funny thing is that pirates are suppose in the sea. Hey! these are modern pirates on land. Plundering the spoilt.
Shalom!
Dear Righteous Bro,
How much can a standing PM earn in his 22 years of service ? Can somebody out there please tabulate for us. ( The pay during his start and the finishing point )
How can his Children be SUPER RICH…? , Did the money come falling down from Hell….., This ….., my Tun must answer…..in his Blog. Just a Mec. Pra…., how much did he earn before he enter politics.
How did his children amaze such wealth ?
They might have the same IQ as most Malaysian’s …., might be more because the have mix blood.
Let it then be pick by others for it to be articulated among blogs.
When the report came out, everyone immediately jumped on the RM50m figure, ignorant of the fact that one F-5E only costs USD2.1m (RM7.4m). This information could be readily found at Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northrop_F-5#cite_note-knaack-2).
Pakatan Rakyat politicians started condemning the RM50m loss instead of asking why one F-5E engine could cost so much. Please note that the F-5E uses two engines.
There is no jet engine used by any of RMAF fighter jets that could cost RM50m. One unit of the most advanced version twin-engined Su-30MKM costs USD45m (RM157.5m) and engines could not be two-thirds of the cost.
The government must be hiding something to report one missing RM50m engine that could not possibly cost so much.
lets face it guys, the BN govt is there for them to reap money out of the tax payers. and everyone is in the scheme, you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours. and those suppose to uphold the laws, like judiciary,AG office, MACC, police and even army are all in it thus the day light robbery without fear or favour. In other countries, the law will be there to punish them, the public will demand resignations. But here, under the guise of NEp, Ketuanan melayu and by using a divide and rule policy, they have been able to blind some of the malaysians from the truth. Now you know why they would like to control the internet and need good spin docs. some even go to say, do not check the past, lets move forward, well take it with a big spoon full of salt cos we must check the past and punish the guilty. if not this scheme will continue to go on even if they swear by the Quran.
Wake up Malaysians, time to make a bigger change. if not, we the rakyat will get screwed. we need a honest govt who is willing to build this nation instead of one that wants to build their personal wealth and also cos racial problems among malaysians. Wake up Malaysians!!!!
rocky,
,,,I am also in favor of animal rights as well as human rights. That is the way of a whole human being….BUT the existing bunch of characters holding all of us rakyat malaysia at ransom are neither human or actually not even animals, …..WHAT do we term them then ?.
,,,perhaps “huntus” i.e the living devils or PELESIT in Malay that has no basic rights at all on this world !. Offsprings of pigmented recessive characteristic of the first/second generation plus party bunch of mafia minded groups and corrupted individuals ??.
,,,what we really need is this non-discriminatory culture back into our society and those found guilty for the crimes they performed/committed in the past as well at present shall pay the price in accordance to human justice in law. In fact, our poiticians and politicians are generally “an Liability rather an Asset” to the rest of the rakyat. Blood Suckers/Parasites if you don’t mind my language. The individual BAD rakyat too needs to be caged, so we have to start rounding them out into the open, as in cattle country. But be careful too, not to ride on too high horses yaa !! eeeyaaarr.
,,,So WHERE do you suggest we go from here ?. We need a new Base Line to start yaa !!. The existing groups from both sides of the coin stinks-lah like smelly dogs, …Geezz. !!
,,,GUESS, blogging constructively plus with responsibility indeed would be the initial Base Line, if anyone/everyone cares to join all of US ??. …its the way forward for the new malaysian generation and for the future of this beautiful & colorful nation of ours.
I rest my case….Cheers !.
Capt,,
By your words ’69-96% are guilty in Malaysia’.
To put blood suckers/parasites and individual bad rakyat to be caged yaah,,,.
Shall we start building the cages, jails now or purchase islands to dispose these culprits, for time being yaah,,,,aaahhhh…..
Shall we evelute the ‘degree of guiltiness’ under treason law and meet out the punishment as per, the firing squad, cages and islands. In this way we will not loose a great number of the Malay population, based on the Public Service Composition.
We will have to tread the line very carefully on Non-Discrimination but, how do we put it in practice.
Incidently, I do subscribe to human rights and animal rights, that is why I added the suggestion of islands, based on the degree of gultiness by the culprits, whether we find them guilty of humanitic (to be island, because he/she is reformable) or animalitic (caged because its dangerous).
After reformation they can be returned to society.
Is this the solution needed for Public Services, that has been changed to this state by Biro Tata Negara (BTN), that it needs tragic reformation to its hay days, of early sixties or seventies?
dr amrit,
,,,for your info. I am presently self-confined at Kapas Island in-order to be deformed from my idealistism mindset plus….diverse, intense, engaged, apolitical (in the broader sense of that word), ambitious, passionate, an odd mixture of idealistism and cynicism.. Some fat hope i must admit !!.
,,,guess it’s a norm for romantics and idealistist like myself in-order to identify pragmatists and realists as cynics and skeptics,,,,kind of just figuring that out by being alone on the island with my dog.
,,,my take, am non-reformable type A++ hahaha.!!
*by the way pls send the guilty politicians to Taman Negara, where the malaysian tigers are still aplenty and under fed.
capt,,
Just spoke to Taman Negara’s nutritionist. My offer of having the meat, of convicted politicians and public servants, to be fed to the mal-nurished tigers, was rejected.
The dietrician/nutritionist does not want the off springs of tigers, as leaders of the animal kingdom, to be infested from the meat, of corrupt and sinful characters and……………………..
suggested,,,,,,,,,,Mugabe’s,,,,,,,,,,, Zimbabwae,,,,,,,, would be a good place. hahahahah
We willl need a chopper pilot:
a) To chop them to pieces with the rotating blades.
b) To fly them to the jungles of Zimbabawae, to feed Mugabe.
Back in Action,,,,,,,,,,,hahahahahh……………hahahahhhahhahh.
Capt,
I totally agree with you….. since your goodself is at this point of time confine in Pulau Kapas…., why not organise a new module of BTN for us following this blog.
….. and DR.Amrit you are at your best again….. no hard or soft feelings for calling you OLD because “OLD is GOLD”
,,, Search the Web on Snap.com, on your “why not organise a new module of BTN for us following this blog.”
If I were to be PM !. (or rather my BTN agenda !!)
Just thinking out loud again about our country, her problems and future,,,,, plus what I would do if am the PM. Wishful thinking some might say but why not, after all its free for one to just imagine yaaa !.
My first priority is to creat and promote “National Unity” plus “creat a sense of Pride and Patriotism in Malaysian Society”.
Also creat an environment to alleviating poverty irrestive of race,,,,why/how ?,,,, by “getting rid of divisive ethnic policies and politics” and to professionally examine the root cause of Poverty.
We really need both cultural transformation and proactive government action – a change in values and policy i.e.,,,,, to promote the kind of society we all want as malaysian. to instill the values of hard work and gratification, our communal values, our sense of mutual responsibility plus social solidarity.
I strongly believe that our government has a role to play in shaping that culture for the betterment or for the worst !
All Malaysian should not feel threatened by what may be considered to be mainly a “one way process of encroachments into so called traditional economic fields”,,,,, guys lets share the cake so to say or ,,,,,,,everyone might just starve together ?. Lets be a big family again and help each other.,,,,,, o.k. brother/sister dearest !!,,,,,lets be fair yaaaa ?. ,,,,we are one family-lah.
To guarantee success, all of us should be committed not to personal profit BUT to the welfare of the people first and all of us should NOT tolerate corruptions and mismanagement.
The next important agenda is to plan to be completely self sufficiency in rice instead having to import >20% of local requirement would still be imported as at the moment.
Just imagine, we Malaysian spent over RM20 billion annually on imports of food products !,,,,we must address this as a national issue or threat and as such to creat an environment of opportunity to fellow Malaysian in this potential business area !. ,,,,,lets all encourage domestic production for local consumption ,,,,,,o.k ?.
Its not at all difficult, everyone can get involved here-lah. Just start-up with what you have, grow your own vegetables, open a makan shop, breed your own fish/chicken/goats,,,, etc etc !!!!!..whatever ??.
As a leader, I will get rid of huge profits reaped by MONOPOLISTS too,,,,,,,lets be fair to the rakyat.
,,,,,,,,BUT key to my success as the PM, is by getting rid of corrupt practices and other hanky panky plus all the existing scandalous characters too !. Perhaps isolate them at Pulau Bidong ?. (not at Kapas pls !!)
,,,,,,,NOW, how do I get to be voted in ?. ,,,,,Yoo Ho Hoo,,,,, or just be the KapasPirateKing and business as usual ?.
In fact, the “traditional pirate style of management” might just be the answer to handle this challenging and difficult times,,,,,so guess who is the best bet, with this special leadership style to lead the country ?.
Cheers !.
Dear Dr. Rafick,
I would love to address capt….., but you know why.. I would not….., for you know my identity….., tell them why….or email me.
There must be a reason…..?
Dear Capt,
Search the Web on Snap. Com, is actually my comment.., don’t know why it was renamed…, but hope it’s to built the adrenalin.
Please prepare the infra for a exodus of commentator’s after monsoon season. Cheers bro.
So much for the security of the nation! I was once at a gathering in Jakarta where an Indonesian General joked that they just kept a watchful eye on us as we were ‘saudara’ (20 yrs ago) So our own guards & watchdogs have bitten the hands that feed them and betrayed the nation’s trust. Takeover ready.
ask amin shah where are the battle ships?
govt ordered 6, deliver 1 and 1 rejected but where are the rest???
storm62..
Amin shah not in the picture anymore. Delivered 4 battleships. Last 2 in 2010.
drrafick if you don’t mind ?
To Lapan Lapan & to all fair weather friends !. May I ?.
,,,if one were to see or realise that life & living in Malaysia as a marriage, it would indeed not need to be such a struggle. By continuing to recognize and explore our differences we will discover many new ways to improve all our relationships. You will be amazed to learn that the differences were not only normal but were to be expected. One only need to fell in love again with her plus btw malaysian ??. This relationship can miraculously changed. No longer heading for a DIVORCE, you will look forward to sharing the rest of your/our lives together. This is the greatest gift both/all can ever receive. To love each other again !. Between you and the nation/state and all of us malaysian together… yaa ??.
,,,many important advances have been made, many books/comments are one-sided rightly or wrongly and unfortunately reinforce mistrust and resentment towards each other. One side is generally viewed as being victimized by the other. Indeed, a definitive guide was/is still needed for understanding/appreciating how healthy for both to be different. But dont be manipulated by them !
,,,to improve relationship between you, me and others it is necessary to creat an understanding of our differences that raises self-esteem and personal dignity while inspiring mutual trust, personal responsibility, increased cooperation and indeed GREATER love. Plus to focus on the BIG picture, please don’t be self-centred or be selfish only to oneself.
,,,YES, by just opening the heart results in greater forgiveness and increased motivation to give and receive love and support.
,,,Just with this simple awareness, you and others will, I sincerely hope and pray, go beyond it and continue to develop ways in which you/all of us can relate lovingly to be a Malaysian in Malaysia or who/where/whatever!!….sure, and certainly the journey of creating a loving relationship can be rocky at times. BUT remember “Problems” are inevitable !!..but these problems either can be sources of resentment and rejection or can be OPPORTUNITIES for deepening intimacy and increasing love, caring and TRUST.
,,,however please be aware too, for the need for therapy and professional counseling for troubled relationships or survivors of a dysfunctional family. Even healthy individuals may need therapy or counseling at challenging times. Am sure our good dr will endorse this too!.
,,,Its such a CHALLENGING time globally right now too, yaa !!. So my fair weather friends lets fly in all weathers and ride the storms to return/land safely back on dry ground to our beloved MALAYSIA.
Note; forgive me for being an ex-chopper head, I have to relate things from the air side of it ! hahhaha. …plus spinning rotors in my heli brains.
Capt
Very well said… Thank you. You have showed it from a helicopter view

Doc
Curious, where was the Civilian oversight during this and the other fiasco’s? The Ministry of Defense oversees all transactions as well as day-to-day admin. The KP’s and KSU’s, etc have to be investigated too.
Bob
Usually in Mindef transaction, all procurement is done by the civilian component. The uniformed officers merely provide technical input. This however is not the case when it come to the unit or operational level organizations like MATRA as it is fully managed men in blue
Dear Capt,
Reading what you write……, and seeing the competency of our Capt’s and Colonels….in language….., leaves much to determine their pedigree……, I feel it ALL BOILS DOWN TO THE UPBRINGINING.
So thank GOD we still have people like you and Dr.Rafick in our midst……., and not forgetting all the rest, I will rest my case.

Cheers bro.
Satu lagi projek kera-kera Beruk Nasional.
plane USD2million, engine RM50million(USD15million)…walao eh. better buy a new plane and rip out the engine..but then making sense is not what this is all about or getting the best price. this is abour lining the pocket
Good work, doc. The sum is not right here. Although not the issue here but good to corret it.
My army buddy pointed out the error in the calculations. Getting old..too much use of calculator.. making mistakes with simple maths
Dear Sir,
Do you know that at one time our ATM has already pay for a complete range of Scorpion Tank (all module) but only take back a light module in which became our tank for almost 30 years…
Dear Dr.
I disagree with your statement that the chief should not take the blame for a missing jet engine.
The reason why inventory went missing in our armed forces is because the top brass took little urgency and responsibility to solve this problem. There were signs before, when M16s and grenades went missing from the army depot. Promises were made to clean up but the items that went missing just got bigger and bigger. What is the point of promoting someone to a high position if he is allowed to go scot free every time there is a major problem? Is the chief of air force a stress free and risk free job?
By right the whole bunch of them should be court martialled for treason !
I agree on your right to disagree
Wira,,
The CHIEF OF AIR FORCE IS FULLY GUILTY OF THIS FIASCO, by virtue of 3 GOLDEN MANAGEMENT PHILOSOPHICAL TENETS :
(a) DUTY = security of the nation by his designation
(b) ACCOUNTABILITY = of his arsenals,
(c) RESPONSIBILITY = towards his men.
If the Chief, at anytime wishes to absolve himself from the incident than, he should have brought the people under his command to face the consequences, who failed the system of safety and security of the Nation, rather than keeping his GAP SHUT, until it was exposed know.
Good morning, Drrafick and fellow commentors.
Hmm… Looks like non_stop publicity all over town on the RMAF missing engine over the last few days …
(MSMs, news portals, bloggers, kopi tiams, mamak stalls, etc) … and today in The Sun Front page !
….. macam macam cerita ada !
How it happened is a real shame and had marred the image of the Armed forces… a black dot had discoloured the whole container of white milk !
Nevertheless, the brave statement by the current PAT (Gen. Azizan RMAF) —- ” Just a tip of an iceberg ..” showed a different attitude compared to previous PAT in public disclosure of relevant issues.
However, on the flip side —- such disclosure keeps the general public of what’s happening (albeit a watered down version ?)
So how big or deep are the ICEBERG issues surrounding our Malaysian Armed Force ..?
Anyone ever paused and recapped …. the BIG picture ???
Perhaps, it’s a Diversionary tactics being employed by certain strategist ….
noticed that the intensed heat on the Mother of all $$$candals (about 12 $$Billions) had shifted to AN OBJECT worth $$50 Millions…
On “The Skyhawks in the Desert” episode of the 1980s —
who was(were) REALLY involved ? Politicians, top civil servants, appointed local agents, or who?
Would be interesting to know how the true story, yes?
PS: The missing engine …. Read closely the news report NST 19 Dec …
“Azizan, speaking to the New Straits Times after attending the national-level Maal Hijrah celebration at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre
yesterday, said RMAF documents showed that the jet engine should have been stored at the warehouse at the RMAF Sg Besi air base.”
*** Should have been stored at the warehouse at …***. Interpreted as It Was NEVER in physical possession ??
Happy hunting, folks ! Gotta go.
Dear Dr. Rafick,
I think the reason the government did not disclose the loss in 2007 was because the General Elections was nearing. Had they done so, the opposition would have a gala time ridiculing the government and the RMAF.
Lama lama pecah juga rahsia kehilangan ini.
this, ladies and gentlemen, is the result of blind application of social re-engineering
social re-engineering for fair distribution of income is 1 matter but putting the right person in critical positions is quite another
NEP is it prominantly a social-economic tool or is it a means for maintaining political domination?
lee wee tak,
There was and is never a Social or Economic Engineering Policy in Malaysia. It is hearsay only,,,Reason,,,Has anybody read it on document,,,never,,,,
It was only MSM that, will give you bits and pieces of information, in your dailies or as you Malaysians call it ‘newspapers’(BN Controlled).
Ultimately,,,, while you are reading in bits, the strategies to implement it,,, was in the hands of UMNO (BRAHMIN BUMIPUTRS), while the other Political Parties (PENDATAN PARTIES) were given the bones to chew.
DO MALAYSIANS KNOW WHAT IS REENGINEERING, BESIDES KNOWING SO MUCH ON ‘LAT’S CARTOON’ or ‘MARI KETAWA’ OR GILA-GILA’ OR ‘COSMOPOLITANT’ OR ‘NEWS ON ACTORS OR ACTRESSES EXTRAVANZAS’ OR ‘SINGER DESTROYING A BISSFUL MARRIAGE, TO MARRY THE HUSBAND OF ANOTHER WIFE’ ?
DON’T DREAM OF WAWASAN 2020,,,IT IS ONLY FOR THE SELECTED UMNOPUTRAS (BRAHMIN OR PURE BUMIPUTRAS) IN CONTRAST WITH PARIAH OR UNTOUCHABLE BUMIPUTRAS.
JUST LIKE SYABAS HAS BEEN FORWARDED RM 300M, WITHOUT ANY KNOWLEDGE TO US , FOR THE REASON BEHIND IT.
HOW WILL WE BE ABLE, TO QUESTION IN FUTURE OR EVEN KNOW, WHERE DID THIS YOUNG UMNOPUTRAS(BRAHMIN OR PURE BUMIPUTRAS) GET THE MONEY TO VENTURE INTO BIG BUSINESSES?
BIG TOWKAYS ARE GIVING PITTANCE TO EX-SERVICE PERSONNALS IN 7-ELEVEN OUTLETS, BY HOODWINKING THE PUBLIC BECAUSE, IN RETURN VINCENT TAN WILL BE OFFERED MULTI BILLION TENDERS. SOMETHING LIKE PKFZ, TO WEE KA SEONG, TIONG AND THE OTHER CULPRITS.
THEY, that is the BN government, have not the least of any interest at heart, regarding the people of this country because, they are in control of the Federal Government, due to the stupidity of the Malaysian Electorates, BN is in full cohort with the Malaysian Small but,,, Rich Bussiness Community (all know who they are) and are in full control of milking this country till the sun is shining upon them.
Who has the power to “RE-ENGINEER this Country’s Faith”, the answer lies in your mind?
Dr Amit,
DEB was launched initially as a tool to right the inequal wealth distribution amongs the races in Malaysia in the aftermath of May 13 riots.
How else can the politicians label and sell such a policy hence apparently it is a “socio-economy re-engineering tool” BY NAME…..
As for the implementation, you said it all……
I agree with you about how it went on the wrong path but the term “social-reengineering” was the initial name-calling
lee wee tak,,
1)
May 13 never transpired due to the factor of, socio-economic uneven distribution of wealth. It happened because alliance (Now BN), lost heavily in the Election that year. It was a minor tsunami, as it happened in March 08. Only this time it is bigger.
2)
The original NEP was eradication of poverty irrespective of race and religion.
3)
In the 9th Malaysian Plan, the main flaw was the implementation of wordings in the plan, which were “etnic income disparities”. The danger word is who is to be termed as “ethinic” and followed by the mess in the interpretation of modules by Biro Tata Negara.
You can call anything by any name, but if the interest of implementation in not noble, non whatsoever an objective will ever be acheived.
Doc, the current Chief of Armed Forces was then the Chief of Airforce. It was during his watch that the jet engine went missing. How come he got promoted to be the Chief of Armed Forces? Does this mean our King condone this since its the King who appoints the Chief? Would appreciate your insight on this.
Habib
When we talk about responsibility and liability. If for one missing jet engine, we want to blame the Air Force Chief or Defense Minister… susah la like that.
We should focus on those directly responsible people. Surely the Chief knows about the big matters but when it comes to things like parts of an aircraft, i think we should not put the blame on him.
But again, I am curious whether he would have been appointed to PAT if the matter became public much earlier but then the post of PAT has been rotated between the 3 chief
I heard the PAT was the one who initiated the probe related to taiko n his ‘forty thieves’ once he was appointed PTU it was definitely not on the missing ‘yamaha’ kapcai engine. Obviously there were ppl who did get a piece of the pie n reported to him what was going on in the ‘background’. BTW , there is another ‘mon general’ who was posted to ‘timbucktoo’ n related to the probe…. Was he similarly ‘advised’ as per the the other ‘mon general’ who was given the marching orders? Meriah dunia nih… uwaaa dah jam 10 nih …jom kene teh tarik muakakakakakaka

Hello General Sir,
Malaysians expect our Air Force, Navy and Army to be in tip top condition and ever ready at all times. There is no need to justify the readiness of the Air Force through the lost of one engine.
The issue is the lost of a jet engine. How , when and who did it, thats what you should be worried. Its good PDRM is doing the investigations, but don’t the Air Force has its own internal investigations as well?
Dear Dr Rafick,
Can you enlighten us on who was the Defence Minister then.
It looks that in Bolih Land….., people will just buy into a report of a jet engine worth RM 50 Mil….., to be fitted on a Fighter plane worth US 2.5 Mil. ( approx. RM 10 mil. ) STOLEN.!!!!!!
Ali Baba…..still get’s his perks……, but only twenty of the thieves get a reprieve……, the rest of the twenty….., no pension….& perks….., but assured jobs elsewhere.
Were you sounding …this or is there a different aggenda more serious.?
Our beloved n revered Dr Mahathir?
maybe sjsb know something more about airforce sparepart?
whois sjsb?
I assume SJSB —, stands for Sahabat Rakan Sdn Bhd. or Saya Johan Siapa Bodoh.’ ……Semua Jahanam Semua Bahalul.

Ghostbuster,
Hands off man….., you really do your homework. keep it coming Bro.
drrafick,
,,,we had a mafia-king that was our 2nd air chief in the RMAF history, he was the guy that got away with such murder !. Most guys like me left cos. we were disgusted then with such characters running the show. In fact, I told him directly in his face while flying dual that I rather fly into gunung tahan than remaining in the service, with such criminals on the loose in the RMAF. We almost had a punch-up in the Alouette cockpit !!. hahaha not kidding bro.
,,,also had a row with the BIG guy running AEROD that they were pretty useless, and I nearly got ‘court marshall’ for it !. Again i was dead right so they dropped the case.
,,,you bet, so I packed my bags and left to fight other battles outside….will capture the rest in my personal blog later yaa…with no exaggeration be anything but sincere and just ?.
Cheers dr !!
…Keep-up the fight. I do feel for you too cos. I have been through it b4. But i hold no grudges or bitterness just sadness plus what a bloody shame.
Capt,
Just for reference….., who do you think…Lapan lapan is…., more like Gangster number. Cheers Bro.
The air chief that you talk about is probably the same fellow who ordered the C130 to fly into thailand on repeated training mission and bring back plants to be planted on Subang Airbase golf course….
he is another champion
drrafick
,,,indeed, we have champion of champions too in our RMAF…during their chiefy days hahaha !!.
,,,In fact, those were the days and I honestly think/believe that our present BIG Chief PAT is an honest to GOD type and he will clean-up the mess in the MAF in good time but unfortunately he is about to retire soon. Known him from his younger days, a jolly guy BUT trust-worthy, vocal/funny BUT walk the talk individual. Some might not like his frankness style but deliverables/results from ACTIONs what counts end of the day !!.
,,,my only advise to all servicemen in the MAF is to stop playing politics with the bloody poiticians and keep FOCUS on the primary job in hand…… National Security !. Train for WAR & be ever prepared to die for the Nation.
,,,don’t be confused or be paralyzed by the politicians !. They are all more of our pests nowadays, if you don’t mind me saying yaa !!. Just being apolitical me hahaha.
If a jet engine can go missing in a tight security place like the TUDM base, Najis better be careful or else he may find his head missing one morning!
ktteokt,
Why repeat….the same comment in a different forum…, even if it is on the same topic.
Improvise Bro…., if not people….will takes us for nuts.!
are you ok bro! seems you need help
That shows the level of corruption in military, regardless of service, rank, past or present is so bad !!!
Curi ubat & military doktor ponteng kerja tarak publish ka?
your IP address 203.148.88.71 User wimax.. I know who you are… should i make your identity and home address public?
Dr. Rafick Ji,,
It will not, be necassary. He/She (Lapan-Lapan) is a person, with unproductive discussion mentality. Why squander the good moments, on a platible non conforming issue, to our objectives.
He/She did not, answer my very simple question on
“Who is to be accountable, for the Jet engine Fiasco, until the culprit is put on stand”?
He/She desreves to be put on ‘IGNORE MODE’.
Hi Dr.Rafick,
I think it is not wise to jump to any conclusion without investigating further. Such idle threat is unbecoming of you sir.
I did a reverse lookup and the ip(203.148.88.71) belongs to wimax but was assigned to Asiaspace as netname ASIASPACE-WIMAX.
If you dig a bit deeper you find that salina is actually the “maintener” of the ip and notice also that the entire range (203.148.88.0 – 203.148.91.255
) is assigned to ASIASPACE-WIMAX which lead me to conclude that asiaspace is really a very large organisation.
There is a possibility and very likely also that asiaspace may use some private network and 203.148.88.71 is just a gateway and who posted the aspersion above cannot be traced unless salina cooperate with you by tracing her log – if she keeps any, i.e.
It is amazing how capt et al seemed to flailed blindly accusing others of some psychological problem and yet such delusions is a sign of mental ailment. Delusions mean not able to see clearly and acting from such impaired vision and understanding.
It is always good to step back and examine ourselves once in a little while. It is like psychological spring cleaning
And btw. it seemed you have stepped on some pretty big toe with your revelation here.
Good job on your revelation.
Dear Sunshine
I did not make idle threats.
I merely advice the commentator whether he wants me to release his personal particulars on my blog.
You need to do more that just an IP trace to determine the ownership of an IP. To do so, you need help from friends in the right places. I did that and because of that I know who the owner of the actual IP I have identified his exact location. I believe you have jump into conclusion.
Of course Salina would NOT be the person that I would call. Trust this clarifies

Lapan Lapan,
Assholes like you are a plenty.., you all talk through your rear…, why dip so low……, by the way…you did not respond….to me in the previous article.
Dr. Rafick…., just make it public…., so we can dig the SHIT of this guy….., he must be a MORON.
,,,so be it !!..se-siapa yang terasa pedas tergigit cili yaa ?….tepuk dada tanya selera.
i rest my case
Dr. Amrit,
My humble apology……, no ” Ignore Mode “……, sock this guy to heaven comes….., he thinks he is clean…., reveal it Doc….., then we can dig the shit of this guy.
Berani kerana benar……, assholes like this need to be taught a lesson on Morals.
‘They’ are being hurt so bad, so ‘they’ have started to play dirty…
Unfortunately for ‘them’ the only stink that ‘they’ can find is from ‘their’ own backyards.
Azhar,
You have just summarize it so well…., no need for comment.
