Hello UMNO… Don’t touch “Tuan Guru Nik Aziz”

26/06/2009 by drrafick

1. It was all over the press today. Kelantan UMNO youth l Chief, Anuar Safian lodge a police report claiming that Tuan Guru had said a thing or two that could create havoc among the people of Kelantan for inciting hatred. For weeks now I chose not to write about the political situation in Malaysia because I thought, it is best that everyone take a rest.

2. From a distance, my view is that and has always been that PAS leaders are honest and clean people. They dress code may not reflect the fashion of 21st century but their conduct and the way they carry themselves has been consistent with morally acceptable practice by any religion.

3. UMNO leaders unfortunately have a personality that is a stark contrast to PAS leaders. Most of them are wealthy. Some has accumulated wealth beyond a reasonable explanation. Many UMNO leaders have been associated with immoral activities but the same cannot be said with PAS leaders.

4. When Kelantan UMNO youth lodge the report, his motive is very clear. But unfortunately all I can say it is done without much thought and without studying the long term impact. Too much kampong politics has gone to his head. I will explain the rational of my statement.

5. In the mind of the peoples whom are politically skewed, the BN government is corrupt. The pillar of this corruption is UMNO.UMNO controls the Police. UMNO controls the judiciary. In the mind of this people, the police and the judiciary are not independent. Recent history in Perak has reinforced their minds of the lack of independence where the power of the State Secretary, the Police and the Judiciary was heavily utilized in favour of UMNO.

6. Because of Perak, PAS is no longer seen as an extreme religious party. Because of Perak, the people can see that PAS can work with non Muslims. Because of Perak, more Malays are rooting for PAS.

7. The very move to touch Nik Aziz will be described as stirring a hornet nest. By UMNO action and if the police act on it, peoples mind will be further reinforced that the Police lack independence. There is no need to charge Nik Aziz for that matter. All that is needed is to initiate an investigation. That act alone is enough to lead to problems.

8. I believe if UMNO does continue playing with these silly games, it will start to lose more votes in the rural areas. The Malays will compare Nik Aziz background with that of Najib or any other UMNO minister. That alone will bring PAS more sympathy votes

9. If UMNO expect that their move will bring riot to the country and they can start to exert their legal pressure, I believe they have made a bad assessment. Simply because, the people will show their anger and disappointment at the ballot boxes.

10. On second thoughts, may be they “should” charge Nik Aziz under the Sedition Act. PR will gain more mileage at the expense of UMNO.

PLEASE SUPPORT THE PETITION TO FORCE THE GOVERNMENT TO IMPLEMENT THE BUILT AND SELL HOUSING SCHEMES

Saya bersetuju dengan cadangan sunanjaga, jangan pakai nama tok Guru, apa nik aziz ingat dia tu ulama ke. sapa yang lantik dia jadi ulama. sedangkan nabi kata ‘ulama itu dari keturunan aku,.apa ada hubungkait nik Aziz dengan Rasulullah. ana rasa tak da apa pun.ugama islam ni pun bukan Nik Aziz yang punya.Peringatan untuk penyokong fanatik Nik Aziz , tanya sama nik aziz bila tarikh dia beragama islam.kalau boleh jawap ni , antarlah kat ana jawapannya.k

Tok Guru Nik Aziz is above politics, he is an icon whom all the races admire for his simplicity, honesty and for his compassion. .He walks his talk. I term him as a rare one who talks from his heart. Leave him alone.

My advice to all politicians: all of you need to walk his path.

I wear songkok as part of my daily dressing and this is to signify the sunnah of Prophet SAW and for easy identification as a Muslim. Many fellow brothers and sisters in Islam(Malays and I hate to diffrenciate by ethicinity) have asked when I embraced Islam as I am a 8th Generation Muslim of Indian origin.

The point I want to make here is I wear the “BUBAR DUN” headband on my songkok.I started this even before YAB Dato Seri Nizar did that in the Parliment.

In fact I was the only one displaying ‘BUBAR DUN” on myself in the DAP Dinner talk in Ipoh 3 weeks ago to the surprise of all Pakatan Rakyat leaders.

I don’t intend to remove the headband from my songkok until DEMOCRACY is restored in Perak.Allahu Akhbar,Allahu Akhbar,Allahu Akhbar

As a non-muslim, I welcome the approach of Pas to work with persons of other faiths as equals. The propoganda that has bedevilled the Pas image is being unmasked. The true devil has been revealed and because of this unveiling, they have stepped up their approach to taint all that is clean and moral. TG Nik is only fair game in their effort to subservient all who are opposed to good governance and morally right.
The deterioration of nation’s state of being is accelerated by these empty headed, belligerant, self-righteous self-serving no pre-thought acts, and there have been many. How can our beloved nation progress when the leaders are a bunch of clown school rejects?

Touch the Tok Guru (God bless him), and UMNO will be driving the last nail into its coffin

    To Whom It May Concern:

My advise to anyone who choose to take on Tok Guru. JUST F*** OFF and leave this old man alone. Don’t pissed Malaysians off or you will see what we can do to you, F***HEAD!!!

I would love it if the gahmen and police do take action on the report if they really think it is seditious in nature. Let them send a team of policemen in balaclavas (ala Anwar) and a couple of FRU trucks to arrest Tok Guru.

Let them drag out a frail old man and dump him into jail under the ISA for uttering seditious word, never mind that the infamous Umnoputra racist Ahmad Said was only given a slap on the wrist and nothing at all was done over the keris incident.

Let them do to humble Tok Guru what they did to Anwar and then we will just see how fast the high and mighty will fall.

Well…. what are you goons waiting for??? Go arrest Tok Guru lah!!!!

May the Good Lord bless Tok Guru and keep him safe!

True, at a glance, one can see the difference in dress code of UMNO and PAS. And over the years UMNO to certain extend had capitalised this by potraying and/or equating PAS to Talibans with the view to instill fear to other races.

But Tok Guru Nik Aziz, as MB of Kelantan, has proven a track record of good governance, free of corruption and fair to all Kelantanese irrespective of race, religion and creed. He has exhibited an examplary state leader who is fair, approachable and humble. This has put Tok Guru Nik Aziz as an icon of PAS and has won the hearts of many Malaysians, including the chinese and indians. And this is very disturbing to the minds of UMNO.

Hence, we now see all sorts of attacking on Tok Guru Nik Aziz coming from UMNO, especially after the failure of the unity talks and unity government proposal.

  14. on 26/06/2009 at 11:02 PM Raja Mohammad Azham

UMNO can say what they like of the Tok Guru Nik Aziz, but people knows who Tok Guru is … humble and down to earth person.

interesting note from freemsian. One in beggar clothings can’t go round convincing his way of life is one that is clean, religious and morality.

unfortunately we are human, we judge what we see and sense.

Comrades, Salam. Nearly I burst laughing when this clown ,a Kelantanese youth reported to police about TG Nik Aziz do a thing or two to incite hatred. TG doesn’t have to do anything. He doesn’t have to incite. The hatred towards UMNO has always been there. More so now. The UMNO has siphoned the Kelantan oil since 2004 and donot pay the royalty. How on earth this dungu ,a Kelantanese did not hate UMNO. He is Kelantanese no doubt, but with shit in his brain. When people cheated the very land where we and our mother’s blood spilled and you still support them? I may sound “typical semangat kedaerahan” I’m not, just I want to bring a point here. We must not support blindly. What is truth we must support. God gave us brain to use with our common sense. If the police just touch TG,UMNO will be gone for good. This dungu also could be gone.

People in the urban areas cannot be threatened anymore, so people in the rural are being threatened now with force.

Tok Guru is a ‘champion of the poor’. He himself looks frail and poor. He chooses to identify with the poor.

PAS party is just lacking lawyers. The ‘enemy’ thinks that they all wear robes and they don’t know the laws of the country, so why not ‘bully’ them into submission.

This is the time PAS must bring in more lawyers into it’s fold and stand on par with the ‘enemy’.

I will still vote for Pakatan.

    • on 28/06/2009 at 2:32 PM salam

PAS is lacking lawyer is proven untrue..most of the law graduate for eg in IIUM have give their support to PAS..

    freemsian,

simple my man. read again, between the lines…

they do not wear 21st century dress but they act and think 21st century.

but those who dressed 21st century do not act like one.
more like the medieval where MIGHT is RIGHT.

    SALAM,

UMNO really pissed off the malays and the rakyat, say watever many are falsehoods and fabrications, one thing for sure they cannot lie to themselves and GOD ssurely, wonder whats wrong with most of them, it seems that they forget their roots and GOD retribution. Tipu sana, fitnah sana agama mana ajar dia orang ni….dah buang tabiat kot..UMNO and many better go back to basic about what the main purpsoe of life…..

  23. on 26/06/2009 at 2:49 PM Hamba

Dr, I bet all the ‘Get out of jail’ cards have been songlap by UMNO. Well, Malaysia is really similar to the ‘Monopoly’ game anyway. Why, you may ask? In ‘Monopoly’ the court doesn’t exist and the duty of the police is to enforce the traffic laws, guard the jail and make sure it is always occupied, nothing else! Furthermore, criminal can get out of jail if they are lucky enough or rich enough to get their hand on the “get out of jail card”. Doesn’t that sound like Malaysia?

  24. on 26/06/2009 at 8:21 AM Hamba

My personal opinion that all UMNO leaders are neanderthal has been validated by the UMNO’s Kelantan youth chief. UMNO = corrupt is no longer a perception, Dr! Rakyat do not perceive BUT BELIEVE IT IS SO! The same goes to the police. It’s not mere perception but first hand knowledge to a good many of the rakyat. Since 2 decades ago the police force was corrupted by the Mahapharoah and in that span of time, thousands of families have been harassed or had been treated inhumanely, beaten, insulted, extorted, framed and falsely accused. So it is not impossible that hundreds of thousand or even millions of rakyat had personal experience of police corruption, brutality and unlawful acts. Rakyat are now cursing UMNO and the police…1Malaysia is truly BROKEN!

    • on 26/06/2009 at 8:57 AM drrafick

      Dear Hamba
You are right but I have to write carefully so that i dont get the Monopoly Card; ” Go straight to Jail, Do not Collect RM200″

  25. on 26/06/2009 at 2:24 AM freemsian

conversely, even if a man is dressed up in the ‘taste’ of 21st century, he can be a better person than those who don religious robes and sport long bushy beard.

    • on 28/06/2009 at 2:24 PM salam

dress code based on the custom of certain place for in eg. in middle age their prefer to wear robes..but to wear what The last MEssenger wear, is not compulsory only recommended in Islam. the most vital thing is covering the auorah what is stated clearly in the Holy Book.

  26. on 26/06/2009 at 2:21 AM freemsian

I don’t know why you brought up ‘dresscode’. just a note, how a man dress up has nothing to do with being clean, religious or moral.
