1. What is going on in this country? The country political arena now is as good as the Royal London Circus. Yesterday, a PI by the name P. Bala made a SD linking Najib and Althantuya and today he change his mind citing that he comes under a lot of pressure. Who can blame him! Of course he is going to be pressured. I am not surprised on the latest development and in fact I had anticipated that it might happen.
2. .A few days ago, Najib claims that he has never met Mohd Saiful Bahari (MSB) and that MSB came to his office seeking assistance from his officers in getting a scholarship. Last night on national news, he changes his statement. Now it appears that MSB went to see him and sought advice. Now it appears that it is not that difficult to meet Najib. If you need any kind of advice, just walk right into his office and he wills advice you. Dato Sri Najib, excuse me for saying this out loud – YOU ARE LIAR! YOU LIED TO THE WHOLE NATION. If you had been truthful from the begining, then no body can blame you.
3. While the politician is fighting for the pinnacle of power and trying to keep the magic wand and the crown, the country economic indicators are sliding smoothly into the drain. These politicians are only interested in their own political survival and I do not think any of them is interested in the welfare of the nation. The nation and its people is no longer the centre stage. The black ink now has taint Najib, Ghani Petail, Musa Hassan and Anwar. Who knows – who will the next victim. The sad thing is the PM is still unsure on what need to be done. He is still groping and looking for a solution.
4. As a citizen of this country who is very concern on the on goings in this country, I urged the PM, Pak Lah to do the right thing. The right thing is that ensure the truth prevails under no pressure from any quarters. The right thing is to manage the country without any headache. There is so much to do in the current global recession. I proposed the PM to consider the following:
a. On Anwar Ibrahim – The police must conclude their investigation as soon as possible and make a stand on the sodomy allegation by MSB. If there is a case or there is any strong evidence to charge him, then charge him in court. He can go to court to defend himself. If there is none than tell the public so. Anwar himself must stop all the political games. If he and RPK has any evidence relating to Althantuya murder, they have to come clean. They have to make the evidence public. Right now, my belive in in the involvement of Najib (or Rosmah) in Althantuya murder is getting thinner by day. I hate people who wants to play politics when people life is at stake.
b. On Najib Razak – He has to go for sabbatical leave. While he is away, a full scale and transparent investigation must be done. If he is proven to be not guilty, he can always comes back. If he is guilty in any crime related to Althantuya or related to MSB sodomy allegation, then charge him. Somehow, I think the public perception and trust on him is getting thinner by the day. His meeting with MSB alone has made him a liability to the government.
c. On Ghani Petail and Musa Hassan – Both needs to go on leave for several months. While they are away, initiate a royal commission and conduct a clear and transparent investigation into allegations that was made against them. Anwar revelation of their involvement in the Black Eye Incident in 1998 was supported from documents that could only have come from the AG office (Look for the sender name on the fax transmission that appears on MT)
5. Pak Lah, I urge you take this actions simultaneously. This will be a fair thing to do for all the people. This will be a fair and acceptable action. It is time for a firm and drastic action. You cannot wait until it is too late. Only by this measure, you would be able to resolve the uncertainties among the people. As a leader you need to lead and show the direction. You need to manage the country. Right now, you must clear all this political problems that has a direct impact on the economy.
6. In my assessment, if this political fight is allowed to continue, it will drag into the streets. The economy and the people interest are far more important. You need to regain the peoples respect. The international community is watching. It is time to do the right thing and place the people as the primary focus. Do things without fear or favour! Prevention is better than cure.
i agree unreservedly with you. but until a truly transparent and independent investigations can take place, let’s not waste more money from the depleting nation’s coffers to fund such investigations. the money is better spent on something else, healthcare for instance. i, amongst many others, do not want another staged investigation that won’t bring us anywhere near the truth.
where do all these lead us? a lousy current pm, and future pms whom we don’t trust. what a grim situation.
Thank you Dr, for your kind explanation.
Yes, Dr, I do agree with you that the AF will act only when the CPO has failed to control the situation. But the problem now is that the CPO has dragged the AF into a conspiracy which draw numerous protests (unintentional or purposely, we wouldn’t know). Therefore it’s unfair to the AF. I think the CPO must apologise to the AF and to the Rakyat for that matter.
We hope that the evils ones involved with the high profile murder case must be punished asap since C4 was used and few officers in the AF were also involved apparently.
I just hope that najib, by now, realises that he has been set up from within.
Remember, this whole bizzare chain of events started when he made a press statement that he may challange AAB in coming december UMNO election. His statement is a sorta u-turn from his previous statements which were highlighted prominently by our major dailies.
najib has been in UMNO for almost 31 years. Over that period of time he has entrenched himself strongly within UMNO(baru). Even other UMNO(Baru) leaders adknowlwdge his vast influence and having a well organised machinery within UMNO which he can mobilise to provide supports in UMNO(baru) election.
the avalanche that befall him started with RPK. Then Bala SD No.1 then No.2. I believe more to come.
If one would lay back and rerlect on those chain of events, one may not discount a possibility that those events somehow is connected to the comong UMNO election in december.
My guess is, by now, najib has realised that the whole thing are a set up to force him to rethink his intention to challange the incumbent in december.
Just hope that DSAI also realised that he too are being used by another party for their own ends.
I think it is time for both DSAi AND NTR to call a time out and compare notes on what has befallen upon them in last few days.
If what najib suffers now is the handy works of his opponents within his party, please dont discount on his ability to counterback with his well oile intra-party machinery.
As for DSAI, he still can make to his 16th September 2008 deadline. All he need to do is reorganise and take the necessary precautionary steps to avoid being used again.
Btw, doest anyone heard or read any statement from SIL lately about DSAI-NTR saga? Or is he busy plotting…hehehehe

Dear Tamade
I believe many people has misconstrued about the Armed Forces (AF) involvement in the peace keeping measures during a crisis.
The AF involvement is governed by the law. They do not get involve on their own. Honestly, the AF top brass too do not like to be involve in such a problem. Even Najib as DPM or Min Of Defence can tells them to act.
When there is a need to restore public order, the police will play the first role. They will use all asset and personal that they have. Initially FRU and then PGA. If the situation is not controlled, the Army will be ordered to get involve.
When that time comes, the IGP will have to make a stand. It has to make decision that it cannot control the situation. He will advice the PM (as the chairman of National Security Council) that the police is not able to control the situation and the Council will then instruct the AF to get involved.Once the AF get involved, all defense, police and other government machinery will come under the command of the Chief of AF. He will use all his power to restore peace and order.
Recently the Police and Army has been conducting a joint exercise. Training makes perfect. What they are doing is fair and legitimate. The problem is many people prefer to interpret them negatively. Any exercise to ensure smooth transition of power between the police and the army is important. The police and the army has to protect the interest of millions of innocent bystanders.
Between protecting Anwar or Najib’s interest, I will do anything that I think is right that will protect me and my family interest. Anwar and Najib is insignificant to me when public order is at stake. That is why I welcome the Army and Police training. They have to protect the millions of dollars of public asset. As a citizen, we need to look into the bigger picture.
Dear Dr, as Susan said it before, you are indeed a good doctor with conscience. I am glad now that the Anti Petrol Hike protest will be held in Kelana Stadium.
Since you are in the army and I believe you still have contacts with your fellow comrades. The CPO’s statement has drawn a lot of protests from NGO and he has created tension among the people, which I think is uncalled for and very irresponsible at this juncture. He has dragged the army into a situation which will create uneasiness among the people. I think the Rulers in the various states are equally unhappy if they have not been consulted. This will back-fire.
Well, the people in Bolehland are very matured, they are not like before. They will hold peaceful gatherings in the Stadium rather than going to the streets. So if these are peaceful gatherings, and why the police still over react?
The Rakyat in Bolehland will draw a conclusion: The Murderer of Mongolian Woman has misused his authority again and again while the Top Cop and AG in Bolehland have teamed up with this political crook. They must have felt that AAB is useless and powerless now, so they must find a new Protector who has a “powerful fist”for their own good.(That’s the reason why the AG went to the People’s Parliament to meet the Political Master instead of seeing AAB. Strange, right? Who is in charge now? AAB or the Greatest Liar in the Century? The Rakyat are wondering).
Frankly, I don’t think this is appropriate and the army should stay out of this. The good name of the army will be tarnished if they associate themselves with someones who are dirty and corrupted. Please don’t protect the evil political crook if they know the real identity of the Mongolian woman’s murderer (It was reported in http://www.malaysiawaves.com that Bala’s disapperance has something to do with the MI of Bolehland. I think he is right. May be you can help to check this out).
You are right to comment that AAB must do something now. He must act quickly and firmly. he must throw the two top brass into the jail if the evidences in 1998-99 proved that they are indeed guilty.
The evil political figure and his wife must be charged in court and punished for all his crimes. No more cover-up and no more delay.
Poor AAB and najib being condemned by most blogs. Can’t we give him a break.
Oh Wow, Badawi may turn out to be the most brilliant strategist of all.
Mahathir, Najib, Anwar, etc. etc. all mutually destroy each other politically.
Badawi didn’t even need to lift a finger (Or did he ?)
Below is an abstract of news from malaysiainsider. May be it can shed light on sodomy case against DSAI and spat between DSAI and NTR.
“Abdullah goes on the offensive
PENANG, July 5 — Give him a small group, a microphone and he can charm the room with his genial demeanour, a few jokes and some straight talk. ……….
To defend his post as Umno president, Abdullah needs 58 nominations from the 191 divisions. But he is aware that there are moves by his political opponents to spend as much as RM4 million per division to ensure that nominations for the top two post in Umno go to Datuk Seri Najib Razak and Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. ….”
———————————————————————
Is it possible that a third party is involved to finish off both DSAI and NTR politically?
Everybody is feeling disgusted with the spat between DSAI and NTR . Calls tor AAB to act to resolve the matter is growing day by day.
A one million ringgit queation that ought to be in the minds of malaysians is ….will AAB act now and decisivelly and start governing again to tackle the fast slide of our economy?
To me, AAB WONT ACT. If he is ever to act on anything, it is always after damage has already been done. His action is more to address the pheriphery rather than solving the core issue at hand.
Malaysians need not worry as AAB will act to resolve DSAI-NTR issue but he will do so when he and his men are sure that the issue has inflicted severe and inrepairable damage to both DSAI and NTR,personaly and politically. Damages to the economy and the wellbeing of the people are not the primary cocern to AAB at the moment.
I belong to small group of people who thinks that the current spat ( DSAI-NTR saga) is planned and orchatrated by ppl around a person who will benefit most when both DSAI and NTR are removed from our political relevance.
It doesnt make much sense because after najib made his statement that he has not yet decide whether to challange AAB or not in coming december pool, things started to avalanche one after another. The latest being the retraction of SD by PI Bala.
Whats worrying me most is the deftening silence of SIL.
If the whole agenda of the current turmoil is to divert the people attention to the current suffering of the masses due to recent petrol and electricity tariff hike and to ensure AAB grip of power remains – l say, they have achieve their objective at the moment!
If there is anyone to blame, l say AAB is the main culprit.

Few observations though:
Since we are talking about two SD, let’s examine certain points.
1. Yesterday, he was all happy and chatted with every journalist, local and foreign.
Today, he refused to talk or take a single question from anyone.
2. Yesterday, his meeting was announced 24 hrs before it was scheduled.
Today’s meeting was in obscure hotel where few journalists were called in.
3. Yesterday, he was a happy man, vety jovial and chattery.
Today, BN newspaper the Star wrote that he “was visibly perturbed”
4. Yesterday, he has informed the people and the journalists who were the people who have jailed him, harassed him, omitted his evidence and maltreated him.
Today, he didn’t say who has forced him. Who has given instructions. Who has mistreated him. He simply refused to talk but run out of the hall visibly disturbed with deep eyes.
5. Yesterday, he didn’t meet the police before he released his SD in front of world media and local as well,
Today (yesterday’s night) he has spent in BrickFields where he was immediately summoned after he has released his SD and was taken to the station by his former lawyer.
6. Yesterday, he has released a comprehensive SD touching on Najib, Musa Safri, Baginda, Police, Prosecution, Witnesses (etc),
Today, he has released the same SD but the parts that referred to Najib removed. All other people were retained. (Ha ha! I wonder who advises these people.)
7. Yesterday, he was a well combed man, with office shirt- and well prepared
Today, he was wearing a dirty T-Shirt with a cap and a was acrrying a plastic bag (black). As his new lawyer talked, he didn’t talk, chat, look up, greet or handshake anyone unlike yesterday.
……..These are simple observations that any intelligent being can pick and realise what’s going on. Furthermore, it is not Bala or Anwar who is in charge of the Defence, Security, Intelligence, Criminal and Justice system of this country but the 3 men accused of conspiracy and evidence manipulation. (Najib, Musa and Patail). You don’t need a child to know who uses force. It is not Anwar who seeks shelter at Embassies fearing for himself but the men who exercise that power over the said institutions.
PS: The Deputy PM doesn’t need Bala to retract any statement which is a perjury now and a criminal act in the penal code. He only needs to file a defamtion suit. Can’t he? If yo are innocent, why trouble yourself with Bala? Just go to the court and said you were defamed and there you go and get your due. When he was asked yesterday, he refused to file a suit, just like he and Rosmah refused to file a defamation suit against Raja Petra. If people are mudslinging you, insulting, incriminating you, and you are innocent, why not seek justice? It is because he knows in courts evidence will be produced and knowing that the Altantuya case has been pre-arranged (we have followed it as a nation), he hopes that by simply denying SDs and refusing to file suits, things will get cooled and he will move on. Heavenly no. Malaysia’s name is at stake. It is not about him, about Anwar or Badawi. It is about this nation and its people.
NB: If he has no confidence in the judiciary of this country by refusing to seek justice at the courts by filing defamation suits against his accusers, who else will trust the regime? The dead? Oh, I’m sorry…we are alive. Thanks to God!
Doc,
your “theater” tells it all, especially the right theater fully owned by Anwar.ha ha ha
Well PM dont hesitate any longer….solution is already on your desk..just implement it…plse save Malaysia…..or else we will be trailing behind Burma…..while other ASEAN countries will be far ahead of us. Plse get your house in order……Mr PM…..Mr PM……..alahai..tidur pulak dia…..zzzzzzz.
Dear Dr. Rafick,
Honestly speaking, I can no longer trust this stinking government. Look at the reaction of the ministers in response to the situation of the country today. They want cheap publicity and nothing else. There is nothing coming out from their mouth that is good……except ‘mengampu’ Pak Lah.
This is politics. The more you talk of the truth it becomes untrue and the more you talk of the false it becomes true. The conclusion is a stalemate and the truth will not prevail.
I fully concurr and supported drrafick suggestions above. The issue has progressed beyond the acceptable limit, now begins to irritate lots of rakyat and damaging the economy and well being of the nation. AAB shud have made a bold a decisive action earlier.
I doubt that AAB will take action immediately or at the soonest. His trademark in solving any nation woe is usually late, adhoc and inadequate.
Furthermore why he should take action to stop DSAI- NTR spat now when the situation is benefitting him?
To me, what we seeing today has something to with NTR press statement when he was asked whether he is going to challange AAB in coming december election.
No long after that RPK SD surfaces. Followed by the sodomy accusation, then bala SD.
I just hope that this whole issue is not orchatrated by a third party to eliminate both of them – killing 2 birds with one stone.

once korek … semua bongkar !!
no easy solution at hand … it will be a shit slinging session.
I agree with you 100%, but Pak Lah won’t do it except perhaps the 1st one on Anwar.
If Pak Lah agrees to a full scale, honest investigation of Najib, IGP, Patail – UMNO will “gulung tikar” , might as well everybody balik kampung and plant ubi kayu.
200% agree with u do!! Lets’ settle all this turmoil/havoc so that we find solution on all the problems that affect the common man, ameen.
